there's a part of me which wants the arcadion raids to be canon for ilya so badly despite the fact that he'd just not be interested in it without pretty intense pressure from someone whose opinion he actually gives a shit about (brief gladiator stint not a highlight of his time in ul'dah, lmao) because he would be just. so bad at it. zero charisma mass murderer on a stage like. accidental heel of all time to me 'cause he'd just take it so seriously to the point where it feels mean! but he's just. well okay if we're gonna fight we're gonna fight! stop yelling your abilities and hit me godsdamnit
