Day 2 on silent hill 2 let's get this bread

So. I found out you can remove the blood overlay, thank god

I made it to the apartments! I wasnt expecting a big layout change so I felt pretty lost all the time. Also I already got 2 coins and no Pyramid Head yet. Getting impatient

Changed the combat difficulty to light because I was fighting for my life on standard lol. Im just gonna get familiar with it first and save myself some stress. Good news is I am getting better at it

I really liked how they adapted the television scene! That zoom on the corpse on the chair actually chilled me. Good stuff

The music is really good. It does a good job of making you tense all the time and I like that they used some of the tracks from the original game and repurposed them.

Finally, I really liked how the town changes when you pick up the apartment key. Real anxiety inducing.

I think thats it for today. Idk if its this game or what, but I get stomachaches after playing so it must mean it does a good job at being a horror game lol

And I love this question, because what you're really presenting me with is a battle between good (fries) and evil (biscoff cookies).

Now, the thing is, I don't know how Lloyd feels about fries. Did he order them because he knows I love them? Or does he feel as deeply about them as I do (the correct amount)?? If he does, stealing them could be dangerous.

On the other hand, I know how badly Ransom needs help developing better taste in cookies. So really, hiding them from him is providing him a service. It's doing a global good. It's defeating a scourge. It's being on the right side of history. How could I ever do anything else??????

my silly crack theory is that Judy gained the ability to speak perfect Japanese as part of becoming the Top Star in London. Nana gets a timeloop, Hikari gets to suffer for like 7 months, and Judy gets. Japanese

Just finished Yuri’s route and I surprisingly liked it. I’m really not into the playboy type characters and I loathe teacher/student romances. But damn if I didn’t start crying throughout his route. Like, it’s just SUPER relatable for me that Eri would try so hard to be noticed and feel so defeated when she felt like it didn’t work. Like girl, that’s me with just my regular friends, I feel ya.

I lost count of how many days I've spent on this game lol but sh2 remake let's continue

The labyrinth Maria scene... was a bit disappointing. They didn't have her act more like Mary (using a softer, sweeter voice) along with her having her memories like in the original scene, but rather she just spoke in her regular, seductive voice. Also James was wayyyy too calm in this scene. Where is the confusion and disbelief at her being alive?

The labyrinth was the most brutal part of the game so far. But I kinda loved how creepy and tense it was. Horror at its peak truly, I needed a guide to get through it because it was stressing me out lol

Then, making up for the lack of emotions at the previous scene, we have James crying, then remembering something, and realizing he has to focus on finding Mary. That was a nice conclusion to the beginning of the level.

The Eddie bossfight was amazing. It was one of my favorite things about the game so far. It was way harder with the thick fog and the three phases and Eddie being very sneaky, and god, the face he made after he shot the gas pipe... perfectly creepy. I loved it!! The actor killed it overall. Rip Eddie

I'm at the hotel now and I'm so giddy because I love the hotel and it means we are almost done with the story!! So far I'm really liking this area too, but I'll wait to play some more before giving my impressions on it.

Day 3 of silent hill gameplay folks

I thought it was pretty lazy to not give James an animation for opening drawers and cabinets. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of the third person camera if you ask me.

Finally, we meet Pyramid head. The beginning of the scene was a bit anticlimactic, but I kinda liked how they prolonged the suspense and that he dragged away the mannequin with him.

NOT THE MANNEQUIN TRYING TO SNEAK UP ON ME WHAT. What is this, fnaf? [Jokes aside, I like that mannequins tend to be sneakier and hide, makes them feel more life-like]

Ok the third floor is terrifying. Fullstop.

I was waiting for this man!! AND IT WAS SO GOOD OH MY GOD. They really did it justice. When I entered the room and I saw the two doors I almost screamed. Best moment so far

I dont like how the main menu doesn't have the game title. What is up with that. Is it gonna appear later or

Had a generally frustrating time, but it may just be because I'm tired. So jury is still out

I dont quite know what to say about the first puzzle. I get that maybe it was a bit easy to just find the apartments keys in the og, so maybe they wanted to make you work for it a bit more in the remake. But I did not catch I was meant to explore right away because I went automatic sh2 mode lol (I played it too many times). The cutscene at the end was cute though.

I do NOT like that you cant pause the game to look at the map. I kept getting attacked when trying to figure out where to go and it frustrated the hell out of me

Maybe they wanted to do an immersion thing like re7. But I dont think this works well here, because I doubt anyone knows the streets of silent hill by heart, you'll have to constantly look at the map. It just ends up being more frustrating than scary.

I'm already stuck

Had a taste of the combat system. It's nightmarish

I'm about to die and there is a horrible blood frame all over the screen that's bright red and it's really ugly. Kinda breaks immersion and I wish I could disable it but there is option to do so

Gotta say tho they really captured the atmosphere of running around silent hill and the monsters are quite unsettling
