Heyhey folks, I finally got around to transferring more of my fics onto AO3, and most of them have been fine-tuned with some edits too! Maybe give ‘em a read (or re-read) if you’re so inclined! I’m also gonna make this my pinned post and add to it, so my fics are easier to find.
Find ‘em under the cut, and please heed the tags on AO3 for content warnings.
Homesick - After committing the most deadly crime in the history of Litwak's arcade, Turbo is presumed dead by all, and it is this presumption that protects what very little is left of his freedom. A murderer, homeless, with nothing left but the clothes on his back, he must go into hiding and rebuild, but not without the help of his closest friend, the only one to know he survived the Roadblasters incident. But between his disappearance and their reunion, Make-it Mavis was subject to the horrors he left in his wake. If their partnership is to continue, there can be no secrets between them. He must know what happened. It just so happens that Mavis wrote it all down, in the form of letters written in grief to the Turbo she believed to be dead.
Warm Blooded - Turbo did not lose his life after the cy-bug transformation, but he did lose his memories and most of his sound mind. Mavis has been working tirelessly to bring it all back. Taking a desperate chance, she tries something new to jog his memory, but provokes a very discouraging (and dangerous) response.
Starlight - The Roadblasters incident may have never happened, and Mavis and Turbo may have grown into well-adjusted, happy, productive members of society, but it was never Roadblasters alone that threatened their lives. It's early 2013, and Mavis has come home from a party that went horribly awry, in horrible pain, and horribly afraid... feeling dangerously young.
Second-Hand Smoke - Felix gets an unexpected, unpleasant, late-night visitor, and learns something very strange and alarming about himself.
I Should Tell You - For the third night in a row, Make-it Mavis wakes screaming from a nightmare. Turbo is there to help her calm down, but there’s something about it that is taking a toll on him, too. There are so many things he wants to know, but there is only one thing that Mavis feels she can tell him. And it's been a long time coming.
Here Goes - After an emotionally trying conversation in which they confessed deeper feelings, Turbo and Mavis put aside sleep in favor of spending 'quality time' together, and explore just what effects these confessions might have on their lives.
Cousin-in-Law - Turbo died, Mavis survived. She was sentenced to life imprisonment in her old game. Felix and Calhoun are engaged to be wed, and Mavis is none-too-pleased about it. Following one of her chaotic whims, she decides to crash their date night and properly meet her cousin-in-law to be.
Racing Thoughts - After the Roadblasters incident, after finally reuniting with Mavis while the rest of the world still believes he is dead, Turbo takes refuge (with the help of his friend) in an unused wall socket. Here, he is haunted by the ghost of his own life, and is gripped by a maddening illness he brought upon himself. His need for freedom grows ever more desperate.
Ghost Towns - Make-it Mavis was sentenced to cabinet arrest in Fix-it Felix Jr. for life after living under disguise in Sugar Rush with Turbo for fifteen years. Too tired and heartbroken for any more villainy, she resigned herself to living out the rest of her days with her cousin in a relatively dormant state. That is, until acts of carelessness in 2018 lead to Sugar Rush being unplugged, and her vengeful outrage reawakens something terrible. She recounts her actions in one final letter to the man she loved and lost.
Darling, Without You - It is 2016, four years after Sugar Rush's false king was dethroned and killed. The king's "court jester" was unmasked and arrested, sentenced to imprisonment in her original game, Fix-it Felix Jr., where her cousin still filled the role of "Good Guy." Make-it Mavis lived a life of desperation, of valuing survival over compassion, of taking everything rather than having nothing. But after Hero's Duty is unplugged, and Felix loses his wife, Mavis finds herself no longer alone in grieving a loved one, and she is unsure whether this fact is comforting or suffocating.
Homesick Deleted Scenes - A collection of short, incomplete snippets of scenes that were cut during Homesick's production. They weren't the right fit for the final edit, but I liked them too much to just delete them fully. Here are a few worth sharing.
Scrapped Fics - Incomplete or scrapped bits of fic, found scattered around the proverbial desk that is my document files. Even though I have no intent to finish these, re-reading them still made me happy, so they don't deserve to sit around collecting dust.
