Fix-It Felix Jr.-esque sprite of Mavis from @make-it-mavis! I’d been meaning to do this for a while now, but I didn’t get the motivation to do so until tonight. I wanted to make her look a bit like Felix whilst also retaining some character individuality, I sure hope I did alright! This was my first time doing any big custom spritework.

Doing art fight for the first time this year (I’m KrispySour) so I made Mavis a better up to date ref. That is to say I drew her and stitched together bits from an old ref and lots of comic panels.

She needed a new ref because somewhere along the line I stopped drawing her in lil FFJr. style

I needed some low spoons content to make for my babies because I miss them. Had a lot of fun with the lettering on their names. Apparently I love doing lettering

Finally drew my idea for “code scars” that I’ve had for several years but never properly drawn. The idea is that your code is damaged, not enough to fully corrupt you, but enough that part of your sprite can’t fully load, even after respawn. This results in the appearance of exposed binary in blocky pixel scars. It can also affect use of that part of your body, from limb weakness to paralysis, or from partial to total loss of feeling.

This isn’t really an AU specific picture because this is just what happens after the Sugar Rush invasion in the first movie. A cybug bites Mavis’ arm off and consumes its code. Said cybug is destroyed in the volcano, along with that chunk of code it ate. Mavis dies, respawns, and her code quite literally has a chunk bitten out of it, but it does its best to fill in the blanks.
