I know Tristan is not mad with Yara for kissing Magnus while they were BROKEN UP when he was at the poolside joking about how his kids with Shea would look like WHILE he was still with Yara?? I wish my man WOULD do some shit like that 💀💀 like boy if you won't get the ENTIRE hell outta here 😂😂😂😂 like I know Yara was at a low (read: EXTREMELY low) point kissing Magnus, but at least she and Tristan were *technically* broken up when she did it. It's all still so messy tho 😂😂😂😂

not even gonna hop on anonymous 'cause i can tell you with my WHOLE CHEST that i LOOOOOVE maya and nish SO much! you already know that! and i love how much depth you put into all of your characters, too! you can always feel their whole heart and the cultures they come from glow through them, too, because of all the detail. ugh! love it!

😭 Bless you child lol. I've definitely always tried my best to represent my character's backgrounds as much as possible when writing, because I feel like it brings them to life! So I'm glad the effort hasn't gone unnoticed ❤❤❤

8.Current goals with your blog?

“I had been working on modifying my premades story to better work with tumblr’s interface but considering everything that’s happened today (the irony that my last reply got flagged) & that my story is about to become a mash up between the jersey shore & a bad harlequin romance novel… I’m not sure lol. but i’ll keep posting, and i guess I’ll try and figure something out for the saucy* stuff lol. i’ll keep y’all updated. 😉”

12.Do you like getting involved?

YES!! It’s one of the main reasons I started posting my own content. I don’t  really talk to anyone about the sims irl so I really just want to nerd out over my little pixel families with other like-minded people.

Truth serum question for Banhi: How do you really feel about Maya?

Banhi: Ah, really? Of course you ask that. [sigh] My feelings toward Maya arecomplex. My first impression when she and Nish came out for dinner was that shewas very pretty. Nish has always had beautiful girlfriends but I couldn’t denyshe was one of the most stunning. That didn’t cover up the hard truth of the matter– she’s not Indian. And I don’t want you to misunderstand me on this; I don’thave anything against Maya’s background, I just never imagined one of mychildren would marry outside of our culture. Jabir and I had been planning – forso many years that it’s a little embarrassing to think about now – for Nish’s futureas a husband and father. That vision always included setting him up with a niceIndian girl from a good family that held similar values to us; it’s how our generationdid things and it’s what felt most logical.

I’ve seen first hand what can happen whenfamilies don’t do due diligence to determine if a marriage will be successful; infidelity,abuse, financial trouble, even constant disagreements on how the household andchildren will be handled. The largest issue Maya presented was that she became theexact wild card most families never consider. Beyond not having a similar upbringingas Nish, she also didn’t have any strong family ties, which was a major redflag immediately. I couldn’t imagine how a girl like that could shape up to bea good wife or mother. And I’ll admit, all her tattoos and ear piercings didn’thelp to persuade me; I’ve honestly always associated them with “rocker” badgirls, so it was like Nish was having his rebellious phase late and bringinghome some lunatic just to spite us. Now I think back on raving about that atdinner and cringe a little to be honest.

I’m not going to pretend that I got overit quickly or even that I don’t still have some concerns. I still worry abouthow Maya’s past might show up in her and Nish’s marriage. Zahira didn’t go intodetail, but I understand now that Maya isn’t close to her parents because they’renot supportive of her interests. Their strained relationship is a result ofthat neglect of affection and understanding. I can’t really fault her for recognizingthat she wasn’t in a happy situation and acting to change that. Really, it’sadmirable. She committed to working hard to have the life she wanted and she’s moresuccessful than most people her age. I just hope that she doesn’t find herselfso wrapped up in her work that she ends up repeating the same mistakes as herparents.

As it stands now, I like her. She put upwith all of my nastiness better than I would have if I was in her situation,and at the very least, that tells me she’s willing to go through a lot to loveNish. At the end of the day, that’s the most I can ask of for my son.

5. Why did you join simblr?

Initially, I joined to have a space just to share my gameplay really casually. But something I realized quickly is that even if I start up a save just for the hell of it, I end up creating a story for my sims lol. This happened when I started playing with Maya and I kinda just rolled with it. I’ve stuck around because I genuinely do LOVE telling stories and exploring different aspects of life through my sims and being able to share it with everyone. 

7. What do you want to do with your blog in the future?

Well, considering Tumblr’s recent change with their Terms of Service, I’m looking at two scenarios: 1) Waiting on the storm and hoping Tumblr changes it’s mind on banning NSFW content, or 2) Finding another site to continue my stories (which is kinda what I’m in the process of doing now). I’ve created a really intimate and fun community with this blog, and I don’t want to throw in the towel after being here for 5 months, so I’ll most likely be keeping my blog going here on Tumblr for the time being and linking any nsfw content…somewhere else? Once I’ve figured my final plans I’ll update you all lmao. But Maya and Nish and our new friends from my Get Famous Story will NOT be disappearing anytime soon!

35. How do you create your sims? Do you use inspiration? Have face claims?

It depends on how I’m feeling. I’ve made sims just because I wanted to use a specific hair before. I’ve also used pictures that I’ve found here (Zahira is modeled off this beautiful Indian model I found back in the summer lol). I also kinda just play around in CAS sometimes when I’m not sure what I want.

36. Do you dislike any of your sims? Why?

I was thinking about this one for a while, and honestly, if I hate a sim, y’all have probably never seen them on this blog lmao. Before I started uploading A Year of Maya, I played with my legacy family the Papayas, and I had a story going where one of my sims was in a polyamorous relationship (cause why not?) Anyway, she had a sister who had gotten married after years of being a player, and their spouses eventually ended up having a full on affair without my interference. Soooo, I actively cut him out of my screenshots whenever he shows up on lots lol. In terms of the characters featured in my stories, I don’t really hate anyone because I know everyone’s motivations for doing things. Even Maya’s parents.

37. How did your blog/sims change with time?

I think that my blog has really improved my storytelling in general. My dialog has gotten better and I’ve learned how to give characters more personality. I also think that I maybe have gotten better at editing my pictures, but not much better lol.
