Riz stealing a book and employing Kristen as distraction is literally the most perfect plan because that girl can cause a distraction. Especially since out of nowhere she just yelled “you know a lot of people have HPV!” Perfect Kristen good job
Day 19 of Draw Everything June and we’re so close to the finish line and I do believe the gauntlet was laid down deliberately. I made things extra difficult for myself by adjusting the relative heights and sizes of the models by drawing Vesseek and Grizzop’s clutch. Quite proud of how this one turned out though the multiple bodies does mean less detail on each!
The Edenian expanded his lungs, his words a hissed exhale filled with urgency; "Cease...! Cease all movement."
"What? What is it, Katravok?" Kriz rubbed at their scarred brow as soon as they set down the carriage's handlers gently, a bead of sweat blinded their eye. They stopped at a valley, it was not enough steep for the transport to slide back down, fortunately.
Once detecting the urgency and suspense in the other two guards Kriz stepped around the carriage and stopped short in front of Mox'an, their gaze trailing to the sharp end of the weapon.
"I saw movement by the crest... guard the carriage, I shall inspect it closer." however, Katravok hesitated for a short-lived moment then marched from between the taller men.
"That overanxious child will be the death of me..." Mox'an uttered to the shorter Edenian, barely moving his jaws to keep his voice low, his one good eye watched Katravok's every move when he began to climb the slope.
Chartreuse eyes, full of sympathy, shifted from the departing rookie to the commander as soon as he had finished his slander. "Give him time, Mox', one cannot become great in a month's time."
"If he wishes to join his brother at the frontlines, under General's command, the boy should get a grip on himself already."
A craven shriek had the two old warriors redirect their attentions above to the crest where their newest additon aimed his spear at fallen, big rocks of the mountain, just in time to see a red and pale blur dart to another spot to hide behind. Katravok's aim followed the sprinting form, however his focus faltered the moment his eyesight somewhat discerned what it is.
A shilouette of a small person was running from one spot to another behind the mountain's boulders on the flattened cliff ends.
But it's not just a small person. It's a child. Naked, dirty, and malnourished.
"A....! A-a little girl...!?" Katravok exclaimed, his alarmed, pitched tone frightened the child and had her scattering away from the guard over uneaven surfaces of this mountain. Guarded, the man watched the child dart from one hiding spot to another to get away, already forseeing that the few spots were too steep and it was only a matter of time until she'd plunge herself to death down the rocky cliffs.
Katravok took careful steps up the steep hill, slow and measured, approaching close. The child, however, did not like the armored man getting nearer and from stirred panic deep within she was desoriented enough to get herself cornered behind a boulder of a dead-end cliff.
When the raven-haired Edenian made an attempt to grab her, a defensive hiss spat at Katravok had him back away instead.
"What is taking so long?" Mox'an hollered from below, while he had barely moved an inch from his post his lower right hand gripped at his weapon as patience thinned within the nerve system when he saw no accomplishing and satisfying finish to the situation. Wouldn't it be for their Mistress they bad a duty to, he would have come deal with it himself.
"Well, she— She is feral, Commander. I have firm belief she won't hesitate to assault should I get closer." to prove his point, he inched one foot forward and the figurative hackles of the girl arose with a frightened hiss. Cautious, Katravok backed up a foot and a half down the hill, while it felt absurd he held his drawn spear tight to his hip and the metal tip lightly brushed against the mixed texture of a mountain ground.
The Shokan commander glowered unimpressedly at the rookie, displeased by Katravok's fear of a child's bite. Mox'an was about to step up when Kriz's outstretched limb across his breast halted him.
