Here is my latest piece exploring masculinity, energy and spirituality featuring the amazing landscape photography of @krl_photo (who is also the model in the picture) whose picture was taken by the equally amazing @rloganphoto many thanks to KRL for kind permission to do this work. Atlas - Titan of Heaven and Earth - Atlas was a giant Titan cursed by Zeus to carry the weight of the world and the heavens upon his shoulders forever. At times in our life we may feel this way too - when my Father was dying of dementia and I was struggling to place him in a home and find the right care for him and for my Mother who had been his carer at 87 I would find myself saying “I cannot bare it!” And I would feel the weight of the trauma crushing down upon me! During the year when my Mother tended him before he was re homed the weight of her burden literally crushed her into a stoop that she never righted from! However there are ways to cope, things that we can do to avoid such pain and Atlas shows the way. He teaches us to draw power from nature, from our environment. From its beauty and stillness and clarity and light. He teaches us to Channel this power and rise up, our stamina renewed and our endurance restored by our worlds grace!
