yeah! well, not always...but usually? i know it might sound weird, but it's mostly out of laziness because premade patterns confuse me and i often have trouble finding what i want with them. and in the case of this new tinker bell dress, i'm doing it to have seams that look like leaf veins so an existing pattern that's at all close to this doesn't exist.

I know your mom passed away a few months ago. Just wanted to check in and see how you are doing.
I’m doing surprisingly well. Have thoughts sometimes about like last year being the first time she hasn’t been around for my birthday. I think sorting the last of her things is going to hurt badly and there will be a bad delayed reaction in a few months. Or weeks. I’m just trying to distract myself.
I've been a bit under the weather the past two days.
