They have been trying to schedule this for the longest time and by they, he means his friends. There is way too many familiar faces there, mostly from the Red Light; the bartender who rotates with the regular, the guys from sound check and even big Kim, the little shit who can’t help but challenge Jongdae whenever they’re sitting near the bar. Getting everyone together is not impossible but proves difficult. There is always someone who can’t, someone who is out of town, someone who is sick or got a new boyfriend or girlfriend who doesn’t like to go out at night. Jongdae wonders about those. As for him, he doesn’t usually get too wild on weekdays and he would decline a Sunday of drinks and loud music if that was not his only day available. Fridays and Saturdays he is at the Red Light, ending up staying until the club closes most of the time. Sundays are his lazy days.
He ends up going to this get together and by the time he gets there, there are already quite a few empty bottles on the table and a loud group of people who are so enthusiastic about his arrival.
Ten minutes of being there and his glass is filled quite generously. He accepts, knowing that he won’t be driving later and that he won’t have to foot the bill either. Whoever is though, is in for quite a few hundred thousand won leaving their bank account.
He’s not one for dancing, but he bops his head to the rhythm anyway while sipping his gin, being reminded every now and then by his friend’s screeches that someone new is approaching.
