♥ : Name one thing about the way their emotions work that they despise.
Emotions and Ilhoon should not even be mentioned in the same sentence, at least that’s what he thinks. He thinks he’s confusing, that everything he feels is confusing and therefore everything is too much mainly because he always feels too much. And there is where the problem lies.
He’s soft and shows it (to the right people) but then he wears a shell to protect him on a daily basis, a safe place to recoil to when he feels threatened, as if he’s the human equivalent of a turtle. He hates the fact that he feels too much, all at once sometimes, leaving him overwhelmed and unknowing of what to do since he associates deep feelings with (mostly) bad memories. Therefore, he can’t be positive when something incredible happens because he’s always waiting for the reverse of the coin, because according to him when something is too good, it never lasts. Independently of how he feels about things, he can’t help being genuine and getting attached, liking people (and sometimes trusting too much) even though he knows he’s in for disappointment in the long run. He hates the way he feels, so intensely all the time, hence why when he boasts about something, he’s never really being truly cocky. He is, in fact, fishing for compliments, feeding off of people’s love because he can’t seem to love himself.
