Catastrophe | Jongkook & Sandara
krxsandara:
When Sandara came back from work that late afternoon she came to the horrid conclusion that one of her cats was missing. Apparently she had left one of her windows open more than originally planned and the poor curious thing had probably crawled towards freedom through the gap. Normally it wouldn’t be a problem for cats to go outside, but her cats had never been outside on their own. She owned two Ragdolls and even though those cats love to go outdoors and explore, Sandara kept them inside since she was too afraid that someone would harm her babies. Opening the window her cat had escaped through entirely, she stuck her head outside while frantically looking around and shouting her cat’s name. “Iyonna?! Iyonna?!” Spotting the Ragdoll sitting in tree a couple of meters away from her window Sandara instantly closed her window properly, picked up her bag and went outside to try and get her cat.
Standing underneath the tree she gently talked to her cat and tried to make her come down. But the poor thing was too scared to move. Trying to think of ways of how she could safe her cat, she decided on calling the fire department. Those men would certainly be able to rescue her cat. “This is a disaster! Come as quick as you can! Please! It’s a matter of life or death!” she pleaded with a slight hint of panic audible in her voice. “You need to come to the Nanjin duplex!” Waiting for confirmation from the person on the other side of the line that they would send a team she thanked them for their quick response. Telling them that she would be waiting outside of the duplex, Sandara hung up her phone and put it back in her purse.
Telling her cat to stay put because help was on the way the woman went back to her apartment building to wait for the firemen to arrive.
More than a decade of dedication to his job, Jongkook definitely had experienced more than a fair share of extraordinary cases being reported to the station — whether it was playful kids stuck in weird places or people panicking because non-harmful animals or insects had flew into their house. He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at those unusual phone calls, mostly he just dismissed it with a shrug. He’d love to help them actually, but the lack of manpower meant that they ought to reserve the time and resources for real emergency cases.
As the vehicle came to a stop and he got down for a quick scan around the surrounding, he wondered if this was really an emergency as reported to them through the dispatcher, for all he could see was just a woman waiting anxiously outside the building.
“Excuse me, Miss? We received a report regarding someone being stuck, and I assume you’re the one who made the call?” He spoke out, as he and another fellow co-worker who was dispatched along with him, approached the woman.
