❛ i didn’t say to come back for it, i said to leave it behind. ❜ (from Riley)
i only made it to 1x10 // @krxkor (riley)
this torrential downpour will be the death of her even though she can't die. udyati's decided that it will kill her all the same for it drowns out her words, her voice, and so she merely pushes the book on ghosts into riley's hands, rings glinting. she turns her back to his place of residence, and him with it. perhaps he'll need it later. or perhaps he doesn't. but his best friend gave him this book, did he not? in their line of, well, existence good friends are hard to come by.
she thinks, briefly, of a pirate with a shock of dark hair and eyes as blue as the seas and skies combined who, perhaps, would have loved a storm like this. because with storms like this, it's like the world screams as loudly as possible and bares it's teeth for all to see.
"so you did!" udyati has to scream as loudly as possible in order to be heard too. "your best friend gave you this book! it's best you hold onto it!" preferably underneath his coat so it doesn't get any wetter than it already has. "you don't honor his memory by pretending he never existed!"
if i had anything of his other than whispered words and the precious memory of his touch, i would never, ever leave it behind.
there is a fierce longing for days long past as she stares up at riley's face. fat droplets make their way down his cheek and clumps of her dark hair stick to her own. a clap of thunder brings them back to the present and a flash of lightning illuminates the door that udyati's looking at and, together, they step through it.
