Product Review: Kryolan Ultra Foundation
I haven't belived I haven't mentioned these foundations on my blog yet even though I have been using them for at least 2 years! Wonderful for photoshoots below I've listed the pro's & con's for this foundation. Before you read on let me advise this is NOT an everyday foundation in my opinion, i'll explain why below:
PRO's:
- Amazing coverage, quite thick and can double up as a concealer. This also means you don't need to use a lot!
- No SPF so this foundation is perfect for photoshoots and any images that will be using a lot of flash
- Huge colour range and their darker colours are not orangey unlike some other brands
- Come in convenient refill palletes, very handy for makeup artists
CON's:
- As mentioned above this foundation is thick, so it is wonderful when you need a full coverage foundation - but I notice if I use it for more than 1 day I break out in pimples as it does not allow the skin to breathe
- This foundation is oil based, so if you have dry skin it may stay on for longer. If you have normal to oily skin though this foundation will probably start to come off soon after application unless powdered down. Not a good foundation for hot weather.
Overall I love this foundation for shoots and film productions but would not use them for a wedding, event or on a day-to-day basis.
