Chapter Summary:

“Just...don’t burn the place down.”  Shiro stated with a quiet shy.

“Why would I want to burn the place down?” Lance asked with a very curious tilt of his head as he looked up at Shiro.

Shiro opened his mouth to say.

Then shut it.

AN: Hey, you guys remember the Tamaranean!Lance and Kryptonian!Shiro AU I wanted to write...but never did.  Well I did something for it, cause the theme fit and I love it so much.

Tamaranean Lance and Kryptonian Shiro is so cool!! And YES to everything you wrote. And did Lance kiss Shiro to learn his language in this AU?

And yes, Lance totally learned how to speak Earthen languages by kissing Shiro. I imagine their first being very similarly to Starfire and Robin's/the Titans (save, well, Shiro being basically Superman). Where Lance was trying to escape captures and basically destroyed stuff to free himself/not understanding Earth ways. Lance is very standoffish towards Shiro. His hot and cold attitude throws Shiro, cause on second he is getting a warning shoot, then he's beong kissed, then his being shoved to the ground while bring growled at. Like he is a very confused and flustered puppy by everything.

Shiro pretty assumes Lance is a slave of some kind by his outfit and his untrusting behavior. But when it is confirmed, Shiro shows little mercy towards the other aliens trying to recapture Lance. And he's a complete gentleman offer Lance his cape (assume the outfit is not Lance's choice) to cover up from the cold and a place to stay while he figures stuff out. And just being the kindest farm raised bean in the universe.

After a while Lance wants to stay on Earth and live with Shiro. Because one Shiro is a superpowered powerhouse of a being, and two he is so nice and patient as he teaches Lance about Earth. (In exchange Lance tells Shiro about his people, culture, and planet) Shiro learns Lance is like the polar opposite of when they meet, and he is very energetic and out going (and can kick his ass cause yeah of course he is a warrior prince). He helps Lance become a hero, and sometimes they team up, sometimes they don't.

(I am basing this largely on Teen Titans, some of the new DC animated movies, and the small bits of comic book knowledge I know.)

It's just so cute.

And like I imagine Lance floats when he is happy (not that Lance hides it most of the time) but Shiro finds it adorable. As well as they both speak Kryptonian to each other, because Lance knows what Shiro knows. And all of Lance's fashion choices drive Shiro a little insane, but Lance needs that sun on his skin.

Who is Keith in this au? And hunk? Is hunk cyborg?

In my version on the AU, Keith is still half-Galra, and Shiro's "brother". They grew up in the same little farming town, and were actually pretty close. Shiro's "grandparents" were had some experience with raising an alien kind, given their son literally came out of crashed spaceship, and were a help when Krolia left Earth (for some reason, cause in the AU, Alteans and the Galra exist, but they are all refugees not really at war with the each other. Haven't really thought to much into that). Shiro and Keith were very much play mates, mostly because Shiro could really take Keith's rough housing. Keith couldn't take the full force of Shiro's, but it was more than a normal human. So in a way, Keith is kind of like a Jimmy Olsen sort of character, as he is a good friend to Shiro and knows who he is.

Hunk, I haven't thought about too much. I think I want him to be human and just 100% a normal guy. But I am sort of like the idea of him running like an underground alien cafe/bar. Like he is kind of the guy you go to get help and shelter from (or ids or to fix alien tech cause he'll figure it out). He's place is somewhere both Keith and Shiro like to go (and later Lance). Though I am also very partial to the idea of Hunk just being a normal guy that is just Shiro's neighbor (that maybe Keith has a little crush on) and Lance befriends him one day. And Hunk is just sort of like "okay Shiro has a weird friend but whatever" until he finds out Lance and Shiro (and Keith) are aliens. He still their friend and everything but it explains a lot, but he just DID NOT EXPECT that. But Cyborg!Hunk does sort of work, because Cyborg and Starfire were pretty good BFFs

I don't know is @leadernovaandthemacabre has anything different and mind for them. I've been loving their drawings (and sweet little Ryou being superboy I love so much!!!)

Guy, Tamaranean!Lance and Kryptonian!Shiro. I thought of it yesterday and it fits so well. And I just...ah

Not sure how much comic info your followers know. But to throw it out there cannon DC, star was Playboy bunny and center fold multiple times. Which might be a very lance thing to do. And what about pidge. If you want her to be human too, how do you think she'd be as Oracle

Sorry, I hit the wrong thing early when I was trying to just read the ask on Tumblr.

And yeah, my comic book knowledge is not the greatest. But I know Star's "sex symbol" reputation over the years. So it doesn't surprise me she was that. And it is something in I could see Lance doing. Though I'll probably go more having Lance be a model.

Lance in a sense is very "free" in personality and clothing. Just because that's how he is culturally and stuff. It drives Shiro up a wall (in a good) because he is just a simple farm raised been and a gentleman. Most of the time Shiro is just trying to get Lance to meet the bare minimum planetary standards so he doesn't get arrested. It's a battle he wins eventually.

And yeah, I figured Pidge to be an Oracle like character. Both Matt and her are human and knew Shiro before he started being a superhero.
