Its been a little while since I last talked about this, but I can read Krytan! (Stylized Krytan is a bit harder for me but I’m getting there.) Occasionally friends point me towards things they find in-game and I’m more than happy to give them a read.

Poor Nabnak. I wonder what they did to warrant being fired? I also really love how bad Skritt spell and the use of Z in place of S.

It makes me wanna visit as many scratches I can find to find other examples of Skritt writing. This can be found not far from the Drydock Grotto waypoint and at the beginning of the Drydock Scratch jumping puzzle .

Meet Nyree Lecca, 1/3 of my newest characters and future Scourge.

Nyree is an albino Elonian, born to a farming family residing in the outskirts of Amnoon in roughly 1300 AE. Her family knew that she was at risk of persecution - or worse - and so when she was still a babe, they sent her with a trusted friend to Kryta so she could be adopted. They missed her dearly, but they let her go knowing it was for her best. She was sent off with only her name, and an eagle’s feather to it.

Nyree was adopted by a middle-class family who lived in the Eastern Commons of Divinity’s Reach not long after, and so she lived a comfortable life. The bubbly young girl could never have everything a Noble could, but she was humble and wanted little, so she was content. As she grew, she was curious as to why she looked different from her parents. She was lighter than they, and had much more pronounced features. Her new parents would simply tell her it was because she was special, and how they loved her even more for it.

On her twentieth birthday, however, Nyree found her mother crying rather than celebrating. She explained all that she knew about Nyree’s past, and that she and her husband had never wanted to make Nyree feel different as a child. Nyree was shocked and slightly hurt, but also understood. Even in the sheltered walls of Divinity’s Reach she had seen how cruel the world could be. She harbored no harsh feelings for her adoptive parents, and instead made a vow to herself that day; to find her blood, and unravel her true past.
