i think it was n7punk who mentioned headcanoning baby krytisians as pikmin? i wanted to draw some before the various invasions but i got kind of bogged down in xenobotany & none of them worked with the color palette i wanted so i got frustrated. i do like the initial bg swatches i laid out, but i really should have started with like. a composition, perhaps.

Season 5 was amazing but there are some things I didn't like. These are just my personal opinions, She-Ra spoilers ahead:

-Starting off big, I wanted Angella and/or Mara back, Royal brightmoon family reunion, Mara talking to Razz (maybe even Light Hope had she been able to bring back too). Idk, or at least more mention of Angella. For me it kinda felt like they were stuck in some kind of portal realm and they were gonna come back, Angella sacrificing herself didn't actually feel like a death until now. I always thought they'd save her/bring her back. I was wrong, obviously. Idk it's probably just me but it would've been nice.

-More of the Star Siblings!!! Where were they???? Ik they were off on their own quest and helping the rebellion expand, but when they shook hands with Adora I thought it meant they'd be coming back. She-Ra, for all it's greatness, seems to have always had this pattern of not embracing new characters or not expanding on them for more than an episode. I get that there's limits in what the She-Ra crew can do with how many episodes they're given but still, idk it's just my opinion

-Same issue as with the Star siblings. Lonnie, Rogelio, and Kyle to join the rebellion and we hardly saw them, after season 4 it seemed like we'd see so much more of them

-Who were the greyskulls omg. When it was shown that Mara had rebellion friends of her own and we never got to meet them in a flashback or anything. Knowing their team had been called Greyskull and the phrase 'for the honour of greyskull' meant so much more now we realised what that meant, who they were. They were a team, just like the best friend squad and they all died for the same cause and every time Adora says that, it's literally honouring them, then we got nothing other than that. Who were they? Their names, faces, ect

-And idk maybe I missed something or just forgot from previous seasons but the first ones seemed to be kinda shitty people and that wasn't really touched on??? How much more damage did they do to other planets, others like Etheria and Krytis? What really happened to Adora's family?? Adam??? Is Kyle Adam? Is there even a He-Man???

-Nothing about Scorpia's or Catra's families either for that matter. Is Catra a princess? Where are the other princesses we saw as holograms? Or the other stones?

-Wanted to see an aftermath or just a lil party where everyone finally got to celebrate together and get along. So many parties in this show and we didn't get to see one when it actually ended and they actually deafted the big villain??? The war is finally over and not a single party??? Idk maybe it's just me.

Again, I understand that they're only given so much time to cover all this but it feels...Rushed? Like there was meant to be more than 5 seasons. I feel like we're missing something, more questions have been left unanswered than answered and honestly? I want more, which Ik sounds selfish after all the work and effort that went into this. I feel like there's secretly another season coming, or a He-Man spin off, or a prequel sequel about Mara and the Greyskulls, but I'm probably just hoping lmao. God I wish though.

Those are the main ones, and I mean no hate to the creators about any of this. I am so grateful for what they've given us, it's just that some things are a little underwhelming for me personally though I understand if I had hoped for a lot or expected too much or if I'm asking for too much. Either way, this season was good. It kinda doesn't feel like the same show to me??? Is that weird??? Like it feels totally different from the first episode but oh well. Anyway, this has been a rollercoaster of emotions and I loved this show sm and Idk what I'm gonna do without it. Thank you to everyone involved! Especially Noelle! It was amazing and I'm so greatful to have been on this adventure

Do you think Hordak knows about krytis? What if when he was sent to die on the front lines it was when prime was fighting with krytis

Ooooh. This is an interesting question!

Generally, I headcanon that Hordak is actually pretty young. Maybe he was out of the vitrine for about 5 years before he was transported to Etheria (so he and Entrapta are roughly the same age in terms of actual life experience). 

By contrast, I think that the battle fo Krytis happened ages ago. Centuries. Maybe even millennia.

However...you raise an interesting point I haven’t considered previously. My understanding is that Light Hope transported Adora from the past, when the First Ones were still around, to the present. So those portals do seem to act as a form of time travel. Or, at least, they’re capable of it.

By that logic, it would be possible that Hordak is also unmoored in time. Who knows when he was actually part of the Galactic Horde. It might even explain a few things--perhaps Horde Prime genuinely did have “generals” way back then. Maybe he slowly shifted from a more militaristic-style Horde and into the cultic Horde we see in Season 5. It’s certainly an option. It could also explain why Hordak is ‘defective’. Maybe he’s from an earlier genetic line, before Prime worked out the kinks. 

Personally...I don’t really ascribe to that headcanon? I mean. On the one hand, there’s something I find satisfying about reconciling the inconsistencies in Hordak’s story from Season 3 with what we actually see in Season 5, but on the other...I like the narrative that he was raised in this cultish environment. It explains so much of why he wanted--needed--to go back, even when that wasn’t in his best interest. 

So, generally? I believe that he knew about Krytis the same way anyone connected to the hivemind knows about Krytis. But I don’t think he was personally involved in that particular war. Do I think it’s possible? Of course! Anything is possible in fiction. ^_^
