Hey I know this might be a bit not cash money to ask, but who do you do you pin manufacturing through? I've been looking to find a high quality pin maker who also pays their workers well, and I figured you might be a good person to ask. I know in pin creator circles its in poor taste to ask someone who their manu is, and if you aren't keen to share, I completely understand, but I figured I'd ask anyway as the worst I can get is a no. No need to reply publicly, and tysm for your time. :>
I have no idea why it’s in poor taste to ask, that’s so weird. Pin sales are predicated on the design, not the manufacturer. That would explain why when I asked another pin designer who she used, she acted like I’d farted.
Anyway, we use https://www.montereycompany.com/
Do we have to submit the work intended for the Zine with our application, or will we be given time to create it afterwords if we are accepted? Thank you!
You will be given time after being accepted to create your piece! The art due date is Sept 5th.

I'm deeply honored to announce that the Warhead Collected Edition Boxset has won the Silver Medal for the 2026 Independent Publisher Book Award in Graphic Novels and Drawn Books.
After 11 years of dreaming, writing, and drawing these books, it is wonderful to see them achieve recognition.
Deepest gratitude to the IPPY Committee!
Thank you to everyone who kept my spirits up and supported my work to get me here!
“Unfit for [Human] Consumption”
As Mental Health Awareness Monrth draws to a close I wanted to share a piece that, while gorey, encapsulates how being a professional artist work in an industry can feel like for me.
Ceaselessly carving pieces off of and out of myself, commodifying my emotions and experiences for consumption.
Even if I am personally satisfied with an illustration, book, or narrative, if it doesn’t “preform” as I would like or anticipate- if the audience response doesn’t match my own inner enthusiasm or I get negative feedback from someone I respect, I question the my entire skillset and self-worth.
What does it say about me when my work is left to rot on the plate?
I question the entirety of my judgement framework.
I feel like I’m dissolving like stone in an earthquake, and I have no sense of objectivity about my work and myself.
That there is nothing of value in my work, my words, my thoughts.
That my satisfaction with my work was incorrect and that I was deluded to be pleased with my work.
This state of being is untenable.
I’m currently in EMDR therapy to try and rewire how my brain responds to these sorts of situations.
Progress is slow, but worthwhile.
Take care of yourselves, and support you local human artists who are transforming pieces of themselves for your nourishment.
