lol so I'm tumblr retarded & don't have a clue of how to respond to a post (if that's even possible ?)Any who, I think it's interesting that you think my extroverted issues are interesting, haha. I am going to college in the fall and I know it's the time to find yourself and be an individual and blah blah blah- all of which I wish I could do with companionship. How did you do as an introvert in college?
I did pretty okay as an introvert in college- I basically stuck to my pattern of having a few friends that I was really close with. I think I just worried about it because so much of college seems to be focused on socializing, which wasn't my thing. To go off on a bit of a tangent- I think a lot of worry about my introvert-ness going into college stemmed from all the pressure that seems to be put on "the college experience"—you know, how it's supposed to be "the best four years of your entire life" so you better not miss out on anything. Don't get me wrong, college is an excellent time to experience life, but it is so not the end all be all. Once I just focused on being okay with not being a 'joiner' and just enjoying my life college or not, everything kind of just fell into place.
As far as extrovert-ness goes- with my college at least there was a lot of room for interacting with people- especially freshman year. Everyone kept their doors open and hung out in the common room and as freshman people are just so much more open to interacting with others because they're all new there.
(and yes I think replies are possible- but only after you've been following someone for 2 weeks, and they have that preference enabled :)
ps- I'm graduating next year (oh god I still can't believe it- college goes by really really fast) and I'm not sure I know a single person who has found themselves truly. I've certainly grown and evolved as a person during university, but I've got to face it- I'm 20 and still clueless haha (and I'm trying to be okay with that)
