utterly pathetic, was the only words echoing in her ears. the male was the one who got away for a reason, yet each and every time she would never learn. slipping, hoping and breaking; a cycle on automatic repeat whenever emotions overwhelmed her. but junhwan was familiar, a constant presence in her life for the last two decades. perhaps it was her mistake, to be as foolish as to develop feelings for the male. ultimately, it had also been her mistake to not utter a single word before.
all it took was a phone call from paris and the cycle began once more.
the sound of her quiet sniffles filled the hallways, barely able to keep herself together as her feet lead her to the male’s dorm. knuckles against the wood, aislinn waited for a moment to pass before knocking on his door. it wouldn’t be his first time seeing her like this, at the very least. junhwan was a friend before anything else and she’d take anything he’d give her at that point.
