Todays Korean Beauty Favorite is the Black Sugar Scrub from @skinfood_us ! - What it is: "SKINFOOD Black Sugar Mask Wash Off is an exfoliating and hydrating mask wash off with black sugar granules. The mask leaves skin moisturized, soft, and free of dead skin cells." -@ultabeauty Price: $8-10 (Php 350-500) - Review: This is one of the best korean beauty scrub out in the market. I can say this is an OG one. When scrubs started, this was one of the famous. Not only this has good benefits to the skin, but it also has natural products in it. It has literal rich sugar particles that helps exfoliate the skin. - Just like the St. Ives Apricot scrub, this has tiny particles that gets into areas that need scrubbing and also removes dry skin that need to be removed. But to use this one, you need to wash your face first before using this scrub. This one not only cleanses the skin but also can be used as face mask that you can leave on the skin for about 10-15 minutes for the face to absorb nutrients and to be moisturized. - When you use this scrub, it really does remove the the dead skin cell flakes. You will also feel that the sugar bit melts into your skin as you scrub it on. As you exfoliate your face this has moisturizing abilities that when you wash this off you will feel your face to be softer in touch and and baby smooth skin. - Suggestion: If you have a quite thin and sensitive skin, this might be too rough for you to use since its exfoliating beads/sugar really are rough. But if you have dry skin and have flaky skin that you need to remove, you might love this one! - What's you favorite facial scrub? Its time for "Korean Skincare First Impressions". Today I will share with you this "Black Head" remover. This is the @skinfood_us Volcanic and Egg White Pore Steam Pack. - Details: "A clay hot steam pack that contains sulfur and albumin extract that successfully remove stubborn black heads and excessive oils. It helps target 6 different skin concerns like black heads, excessive oils, dead skin, dryness, and deeply cleanses. Key ingredients include Jeju volcanic ash and Amazonian clay." From Ulta Beauty - First Impression: My sister and I bought this at a Skinfood store for about $10-$13 (Php500-600). It is also sold at Ulta for $13. Now, when we bought this I don't even know how to use it or what not! Lol! The tube has only Korean writings in it which of course I cannot understand. But luckily, there are english details and directions at Ulta's website. - - For the first application, I only applied it on the nose area and to the side. Upon application, this product had a good smell to it and doesn't smell like mud. If applied with fingers, you wont feel the any heat at first but through application and when it has stayed to the face for how many minutes, you'll feel the heat and steam from the pack. I don't know what chemicals or what it is with this pack but it just realeases heat. After 10-15 minutes, due to heat of the pack the pores ipen and that is the stime you scrub the pck to the nose and other areas you want. After scrubbing, you will need to wash it of with warm water. - The first effect: Actually, I dont have that much visible black heads, but you can see some pores to be filled with dirt. As soon as it is washed with water, you will notice that the skin on the area you applied has now a smooth finish and pores have also tightened. - That is all for my first impressions, I will post a full review of this product on my blog soon. Last post for the "Best of Drugstore Foundation Series"; and today I will share with you the @lorealmakeup True Match Foundation in the shade Gold Ivory. - 👉🏼This foundation has the most light weight and most flawless finish of all. (Well that is my opinion though. 😅) Many also find tgis foundation to have si much movement on the skin and they say it doesn't hold up? I think i know the reason. - 👉🏼Okay, the positive reviews first: There are at least 20 shades available range on this foundation and thats a lot. That means you can really find your right shade. Second is that it is housed on a glass bottle with a pump, which makes it a good one and you know there's atleast quality for $7 (Php 350-500). Lastly, as your dry skinned girl here, it had a smooth application to the skin. It is medium coverage and can be buildable. It has flawless finish to the skin which looks like it blurred out fine lines and pores. Another thing is that this had a watery formula which makes it super lightweight and not cakey at all. You can use a stippling blush for more coverage and a damp sponge for a sheered out finish. 😻❤️ - 👉🏼Now for the negative side: I think the negayive reviews dor this foundation comes from thise who have oily skin. (Correct me if I'm wron because I do not have oily skin). Due to oils on their face, it moves the foundation all over and mixes up with the foundation which makes it patchy and not hold up. If you are an oily girl and want to try this, you need to use a mattifying promer sobthat this would cling to your skin perfectly. 🤷‍♀️🤔 - Do you think I have the right verdict for this foundation? Happy Tuesday everyone! Its Day 4 of the "Best of Drugstore Foundation Series"; today I am sharing with you a review for the @maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless foundation and I have the shade 238 (this shade is my summer shade btw, so its a little bit darker than my skin right now 😄) . 👉🏼This is sold at your local Maybelline counters for $5.99 and in the Philippines it is sold for Php399 at department stores. . 👉🏼This has been one of those foundation that has been raved and hyped by actually the whole beauty/makeup community. Thats why if you do not have this right now, maybe you are missing out? For real tho, seems like Youtubers and Bloggers really love this stuff. - 👉🏼As for my personal review: Okay heres the thing, it seemed like Maybelline really understood what makeup lovers were asking for. A thin consistency, full coverage, full shade selection, matte formula, easy to blend and will last for hours. YES! That is all there is for this foundation. I can even end the review here! 😂😂 - 👉🏼This claims to be best for oily skin since you will really stay matte if you use this and would not even look cakey. This finish for this foundation is soft and flawless. This will not emphasize pores or finelines but will make you fave looking really smooth. You can also layer this on and not look cakey. - 👉🏼For those girls with dry skin (like me) this can also work for you. All you need is to mositurize your face before using this so that it will not emphasize dry patches. This won't feel heavy on the skin and will still have a flawless finish. - 👉🏼Lastly, this really is an on-point "Matte+Poreless" foundation that wouldn't feel thick and would not feel like wearing too much on your face. This has been one of the best matte foundation available in the market. - I know many of you have already tried this, but as for me this is one of my favorites! Hello everyone! Its day 3 of the "Best of Drugstore Foundation Series"; for today I will be sharinf with you a review of this @hardcandylife Glamoflauge Mix-in Pigment Makeup Drops in the shade Light 3. - 👉🏼 This is sold at local drugstores that carries Hard Candy for $7- (Php350-450). This is said to be the best dupe for the Cover Fx Custom Cover Drops. It is really tho. This drops has a full pigment to it that in just 1 drop, it can cover the whole face. - 👉🏼The consistency of this drops is watery, which makes it good to mix with your favorite moisturizer to make it foundation-like. This is called pigment drops because you should add this on to your favorite foundation or moisturizer to make it more full cover. This has medium coverage and can cover the whole face with just one or two drops. If additional drops are used it will be full coverage. You can pack this on and layer it up and this will not look cakey. This is is super light weight that you won't even notice that you have something on your face. . 👉🏼 If you have oily skin this will be good for you since this has a matte finish and this will not make you oil up in just a matter of time. This will stay to the face for hours and it will still look flawless. As for those girls with dry skin, this is also good for us since this is light weight and won't cling to dry patches. . Hey hey hey! 👋🏼 Its day 2 of the "Best Of Drugstore Foundation Series"; and for today im adding up a Philippine local brand foundations that I fell inlove with. Its the @everbilenaofficial Pro-Flawless Finish Foundation and the Shine Free Make-Up Foundation. - 👉🏼 Pro-Flawless Finish Foundation: This sold at department stores for Php195- and it claims that it will give you a flawless finish for a leveled up selfie game. This is one of their "Pro" makeup which I assume is more for fuller coverage makeup (correct me if I'm wrong). Based on my experience using this foundation, it really has a thick consistency and it has a powdery feel to it. It is a light to medium coverage and has a matte finish when it sets. It is advisable to only use just one layer for this foundation since this tends to cake up if layered. Application wise, this blends out smoothly to the skin with a beauty sponge, but if it is used with a brush- this might look streaky. This will last you the whole day and wont get patchy but be sure to set it with powder because even I have dry skin, I get oily in time when this is the foundation that I use. - 👉🏼 Shine-Free Makeup Foundation: This is sold for Php130 (30ml) in a plastic squeeze tube. This is my favorite natural foundation from a local brand. I use this as a BB cream and it really works well. This has a light coverage to it and has a light and thin consistency. You can use this with a brush, beauty sponge or even just your fingers and it will leave your skin naturally soft and smooth looking. I just wanted to point out that this is just for enhancing and smoothing because this only have a light coverage. It claims that it is Shine-Free but I don't think it is because the finish is dewy and will get shiny in time. I love this since I have dry skin, it does not emphasize any dry patches and also this has a good moisturing feel to it. Also use only a little product because their shades are too light 😩 - Yup thats it for this days post. Have you tried Ever Bilena or are you skeptical on trying? Based on the poll posted on my Insta Story, it seemed like more than 70% messaged me that they wanted the "Best of Drugstore Foundation Series" for this week, that is why for today I am sharing with you my most and very best favorite drugstore foundation the "Wet N Wild Photofocus Foundation" and I am in the shade Soft Beige. This is also for my girls out there that always asks about this foundation ❤️ - What it is/Claims: "Your skin, only better. Our new high-performing, skin-perfecting foundation underwent major road testing under seven different photo lighting conditions to deliver flawless camera-ready makeup every time. Specially made with a matte, light-diffusing complex to give your skin #nofilter perfection." WetnWild.com - Formula: The formula of this foundation is neither thick nor runny, it has the nice and just right whip to it which makes it more easy to blend to the skin. The formula is also a "breathable" formula in which you can still feel that your skin is moisturized and not caked up. - Application: Since the consistency and formula of this is not runny and not thick, this applies well with either brush or beauty sponge. I even use my fingers to apply this and still the finish would be perfect. If you want a fuller coverage then you should use a brush, but if you a thinner coverage then use a brush. - Shade: There are various shades available for this foundation that you can really find the right shade for you. - Conclusion: Since my skin is "Dry", this foundation has been the best foundation for me since it did not emphasize any dry patches on my skin and this doesnt feel dry and cakey. This also has a feeling of moisturized and softer complexion. Its Day 5, last day of Drugstore Highlighter Week The Product of the day is are the @maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments 24 Hr in the shade "Barely Brazen"; sold at your local Maybelline stalls and drugstores for $3.99 to $4.99 (Php 150 to 450). - Are you aware of the Artist Couture pigment highlighters going around here on Instagram and Youtube? Well then you got the best dupe ever. These Color Tattoo's are eyeshadow pigments, but if you get the right shade then you can get the right pigment as highlighter. Thise artist couture ones are sold for $27- each which is too much if you are on a budget, but then you got this pigment! Only $3-5? Then you need this. This will also be a popping highlight, a high shine one that will be a visible sheen to the cheeks. You can also build up the pigment for more opaque shine. - Have you seen this on your local stores?
