I went to an engagement party recently for a couple where the future groom is blind, and his sister had us all make a heart together by gluing bits of sea glass to a mounting so that his fiance could see the heart and he could touch it.

Ooh, that’s super neat! I love art that works on levels.

its a real danger, you might use her dsw account.

(actually, i did it because it’s an identifiable name. there was a time that my father and his brother were in need of not being listed in the phone book because “we knew people with guns who weren’t always friendly” and so they listed themselves under a pseudonym. my uncle still uses the name as his alias when he has to be listed publicly. the file name has that name in it, and as silly as it seems, i felt better not using it.)

Honestly, it had way too many roles for women and I felt like they should have spent a lot more time dealing with man angst.

re: smart vs. good grades thing - I got meh grades because I never did homework so I was never tested for advanced classes even though I read at an adult level by 4th grade. In 7th grade my parents demanded that I be tested and after I passed I was moved into gifted classes and got As and did all my work in those classes even though I still got Cs in my regular classes

Exactly! Not everyone is able to achieve their full potential. I achieved B's through college and now I am getting what is effectively A*'s and that's because I get on better with having one really difficult subject than multiple mediocre subjects. 

Of course some people are smart and get good grades, however I have no problem with recognising that not everyone is great at tests or committing to memory but that doesn't mean that they are stupid, just not fortunate enough to hold the skills required to excel in academia.

Thank you! It's the "With Only A Wink" dress in Navy, but it also comes in red, green, white, and polkadot.
