"Participatory action and interactivity are also present in his work as he constructs environments where communicative and social encounters between the public and the artist and artwork can take place."

“I stood up and I said yeah...” Here’s to strength through adversity, @tinynietzche knows what I’m talking about. Alls I’m saying: happy to be starting a new job.

Here's my full 7 minutes from the Utah Bucket List II on Zion National Park & the Artist-in-Residence program.
It's such thoughtful and intricate work that the people at KUED, Utah's PBS Station, as well as their collaborators at the Salt Lake Tribune, do for these pieces.
It really captures my experience...maybe the fact that we spent 3 days working together helped (rather than just a short interview or hike like I originally expected might happen). The whole thing was one of the big highlights of my experience in Zion National Park, and the experience of meeting the people who were on this PBS crew and seeing how they worked together, inspired me to look into how I could get to know better the work of some local NPR stations. I got myself a little summer internship this past summer at RIPR (Rhode Island's NPR station). Even the most mundane work (like editing promo segments for the weekend shows so that they were under 30 seconds) took on a certain weightiness and excitement when I thought about all the ears that would hear the stuff I was editing.
