One of my inspirations as a Karaté fighter growing up! 🥋🙏 Sensei Frank Brennan is in my humble opinion, the BEST of the BEST. A champion of KATA and KUMITE. 💥🥋 A true master and a great example of HUMILITY. It is difficult to find anything about him on social media. So if you want to know what a true SAMURAI ⛩ looks like in modern times. .. Google this man and learn his ways of character and training. You will be amazed. His example is to this day a model of my own fighting style. Scottish Championships 7/6/14

-Individual kata was pants, I forgot the uraken in heian nidan, which I've never done before and so didn't make the finals. Such a pain. -team kata I felt went very well, but out leader made a mistake and we were penalised way too harshly for it. The other teams bar a few were very out of synch but scored very highly. The judging across the board seemed very biased towards certain team. -KUMITE WAS MAD. I had my nose burst in my first fight, that was a first. But in my second fight I dislocated my shoulder (yass) but SCORED AN IPPON, so despite being wheeled off to hospital screaming in pain and hyperventilating I still came a lovely third place.
