BC: A multiverse? I’ve read about that before! I think it’s entirely plausible in theory. Why? Do you know anything?

BP: Multiverse? Sounds... complicated. Too complicated.

Recluse: ...Wait. Did you say you created portals to alternate universes?

Sage: ........

You opened PORTALS to other UNIVERSES?!!!?? Recluse, do you even understand what this means?! This Cookie is from another universe!!! There are other Cookies from other universes here, in the village!!! There might even be other us-es!!! We have to investigate further!!!!!!

Recluse: ...Oh, Sage...

Well, I think the best thing to do now is... (he gives the Cookie a long, distant look...) ...try to get you home, and close all the portals.

Sage: ...But we can study them before we do, right?!

Recluse: As long as it doesn't mess anything up with the universes... I suppose...

I'm going to be frank with you: I have never run an ask blog before, but both me and Blue enjoy RPing, so here we are. (I also want to point out that, yes, this AU does contain Truthlesssage. It is not the main focus but they're definitely there.)

OOC: hii its kuiper!! good catch - the spire did happen differently in this AU! since the sage and recluse met for the first time as their current selves, i had to do something different with the beast-yeast episodes or it wouldn't make sense. i haven't figured it all out yet but don't tell anyone /silly

and don't worry, pure vanilla isn't stupid, he definitely did recognize the recluse as soon as he saw him. he just didn't want to say anything, he wanted to investigate earlier before he spoke

the sage is not only experiencing the same amount, but more trauma. shadow milk cookie crumbled cookies - the recluse hates pure vanilla for an entirely unrelated reason; shadow milk is EVERYTHING the sage hates, refuses to be anymore

ANYWAYSSSS sorry for yapping, i'm meant to be asleep, but i really wanted to talk about this au bc i love it sm!! thanks for the ask i had fun answering this :3

TLDR: the sage and recluse didn't meet in beast-yeast while still their former selves, pure vanilla knew from the start that the recluse was him, the sage is experiencing even more trauma than the recluse.
