Kuldurr’s Flying Mountain Of God
Kelligi-Garaam is a name that holds weight in the lands of Kuldurr. It's the name of the great rock of roaming that dots high up in the sky above mortal lands. It's a massive mountain that holds steady as it literally migrates across the sky every thirty years or so. It's a strange occurance as non can truely tell where it comes from. WIse men of villages often refer to it as some moving temple dedicated to the gods. Sorcerers, those few who may be bothered, often refer to the flying mountain as something few ment should concern themselves with, for their minds are not ready and their hears are over zealous. All that is truly known is that the mountain roams one consistant patern over the earth back and forth between the peak of the highest mountain in Kuldurr and the hishest mountain in Kurth. And along the way, it detours through a large pocket of thick regional mists from which few ships return. These mists, commonly refered to as The Lusciana's Haze, are quite perfect as a home for countless gliding creatures that live out to sea called Ray-Devils, manta-ray like cratures similar to semi-equatic harpies which glide out of the sea and dive headlong at men on the bows of boats, knocking them into the murky depths of the sea where their blood staining the tides is the only remaining clue as to their fate. From it's destination in Kurth, the mountain makes a loopback to it's original point at Kuldurr once more, treaking back another thirty years slowly over the sea. It does not pass back through The Lusciana's Haze, but rather narrowly scrapes throuth the thinnest edge opf the misty region of the sea, dragging a number of Ray-Devils out to be carried away from their natural habitat where they often die from a sudden change in their already complicated environment, a shock to the system that often resutls in sudden sickness and death.
