I’m deeply saddened to learn that Mika Vainio of Pan Sonic has died at the age of 53. This opening track from Pan Sonic’s second album Kulma was my first impression of his music and remains my very favorite to this day. His repertoire and myriad aliases (Ø, Philus, Kentolevi, Teknonivel) and projects (VVV, IBM, ÄÄNIPÄÄ, and several others) remain a testament to his prolific nature and his singular musical voice.
