Even though Kum Week will be over soon, we will still be accepting submissions. It doesn't matter if it's a week or two after this Saturday. We organized Kum Week to fill our tag with graphics/mixes/fanart/fics of our precious ship rather than sand and people at the beach. We want to thank you all for being here with us, it was a pleasure having you all follow this since day one. The admins are proud of you canoe.
I would also like to add this is a community for reblogging and celebrating a ship. We do not condone the act of reblogging content just to hate on it. I wouldn't go into a particular week tag and reblog their hard work only to vomit on it. So I thank everyone who has worked hard on Kum week so far and has enjoyed the hard work everyone put into it.
Summary: Finn and Rachel conspire to set their friends up on a date
AN: I do not own Glee, etc., etc.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Anyway, Finn was watching Kurt and Sam one day sitting next to each other on the couch, watching a movie yet again. It seemed to be a weekend ritual for the two of them, to get together, sit uncomfortably close to one another, and yet not even notice the chemistry practically screaming at them.
Going into the kitchen, Finn saw Rachel getting another round of drinks to go with their popcorn.
“Hey Rachel?”
“Hi Finn, are you here to help me?” She asked with a bright smile.
“No- I mean, yes. I mean, I wanted to ask you something?”
Brushing off her hands, Rachel looked at him curiously. “What about?”
“Kurt and Sam. Do you think they...like each other?”
Gasping, Rachel grabbed her boyfriend’s hands and squealed. “You noticed too?!”
“Shh.” Finn quickly hushed her, not wanting his friends to hear them and come to see what they were talking about. He had an idea and he didn’t want it to get ruined. “I was thinking we should set them up on a date.”
“Like a blind date?” Rachel added, earning a nod from Finn. “Oh, you are a genius.” Rachel kissed him before grabbing the drinks. “We’ll plan this all out tomorrow, although I have so many ideas already.”
Finn smiled, although he was mostly focused on the kiss, and he made a mental note to get more great ideas if it meant more kisses.

The next day, Finn was tasked with getting Sam to agree to go on a blind date. He figured his friend would be willing, after all, he hadn’t gone out with anyone in a while. Finn approached Sam after their workout at the gym. Sam was patting himself down with a towel he had just grabbed from his gym bag.
“Hey man, good workout?” Finn asked, grinning as he sat down.
“Yeah. You didn’t look too bad yourself running on the treadmill.” Sam teased, most likely referring to Finn’s legs slipping a few times. Rolling his eyes, Finn just smirked as he watched Sam take a long sip from his water bottle.
“So, dude, you got any plans Friday night?”
Shaking his head, Sam capped his water bottle and set it to the side. “No, why?”
“There’s this really awesome guy I know and I think you should go out with him.”
Raising an eyebrow, Sam smirked and shook his head. “What? Are you setting me up on a date, dude?”
“Kind of.” Finn grinned.
“What’s his name?”
“Not telling.” Finn said, trying not to grin too much. Sam was looking a little perplexed before shaking his head.
“Dude, are you setting me up on a blind date? Why?”
Finn shrugged his shoulders, trying to figure out the best words to use. “Well, it’s been awhile since your last relationship and I thought this would be a good way for you to get out there, back into the dating pool.” Okay, that was a total lie, but it was something to get his friend to that restaurant Rachel had already made reservations for.
Sam seemed to be thinking about what Finn said and he shrugged. “I don’t know, the last guy I dated turned out to be pretty...dull.”
Finn chuckled and shook his head. “Trust me, this guy is not dull.” He thought of his brother and how Sam always found him to be someone cool to hang out with.
Sighing to himself, Sam looked away, appearing to be thinking on Finn’s offer. Finally, he looked at his friend. “Fine, I’ll go, but if this goes bad, I’m holding it against you for the rest of your childrens’ lives.”
Finn laughed nervously before nodding his head. “Awesome! Don’t worry, man, you’ll have a great time.”
Sam nodded, looking a little skeptical, but at least he was into it. “So tell me about this guy. How do you know him?”
“Oh, we’ve known each other for ages. He’s funny, smart, and has an awesome sense of style.”
“What made you think to set me up with him?”
Finn smiled secretively and just shrugged his shoulders. “He just seems like your type of guy.”
Sam seemed to accept that response and Finn decided to table the discussion for now, so he wouldn’t end up telling Sam who his mystery date was. For now, he wondered how Rachel was doing getting Kurt to agree to go on a date.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
So far, Rachel was having no luck. Kurt was stubborn and kept saying he just wasn’t ready to go on a date. The last time he was in a relationship had ended badly and Kurt wasn’t even sure he wanted to date anyone else. It wasn’t that he still had feelings for his ex, because those feelings had gone away right after his ex had cheated on him. Even after all this time, it was hard for Kurt to trust anyone.
“Come on, Kurt, I know you’re really going to like this guy. He’s funny, tells awkwardly cute jokes, and he has a body to die for!”
Kurt scoffed and shook his head. “Rachel, I just don’t know. What if it doesn’t work out? I’m not sure I could go through another disappointment again.”
Rachel walked over to Kurt and took his hands, smiling reassuringly. “Trust me, Kurt, I have a really good feeling about this one. You’ll love him. Just give it a chance, okay? It’s been two years.”
Kurt thought for a moment and Rachel was almost positive that he was about to turn her down again. However, his lips slowly turned upward and he shrugged his shoulders. “Okay, why not? It’s just one date, right?”
“Right! Oh, thank you, Kurt!” Rachel squealed as she hugged him, happy that her mission had been accomplished.

Friday night saw Finn and Rachel hiding in the back of the restaurant as they waited for their friends to come into view. They had already told Kurt and Sam to look out for a guy with a red flower on his lapel. So they both had arrived and hadn’t noticed each other yet. Rachel was getting impatient and close to blowing their cover when Sam looked towards Kurt and smiled, walking over to him. Rachel had to bite her lip to keep from shrieking and Finn was holding his breath, waiting for something to happen.

“Kurt?” Sam asked, a big smile on his face as he approached his friend.
“Hey, Sam!” Kurt smiled and hugged him. “What are you doing here?”
“Oh, Finn set me up on this blind date, if you can believe it.”
Kurt laughed and couldn’t help but smirk. “What a coincidence! Rachel did the same thing to me.”
“Whoa, no way! Awesome.” Sam looked around, noticing no one else in the room with a red flower on their lapel, except for Kurt that is. “Do you know who he is?”
Kurt turned his gaze from Sam in order to look around the room, as if searching for someone. “No, I don’t. I only know he’s wearing a red flower.”
Sam frowned and looked at Kurt, finally looking at him after a moment. “Red flower?”
Nodding his head, Kurt turned to look at Sam, only to find his gaze falling onto his jacket where the flower was. “Oh...”
Sam was quiet for a moment before chuckling. “Oh...um...wow. I think Finchel played matchmaker.”
Kurt chuckled and shook his head. “Those two.” He sighed softly before looking up at Sam. “I’m sorry, I...you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.”
“No, I do! I...I want to go on a date with you,” Sam admitted.
Kurt blushed and glanced at Sam after ducking his head down. “Really? You want to go on a date with me?”
Sam nodded his head, reaching out to squeeze Kurt’s hand. “Only if you want to go on one with me. But even if you didn’t, I’d still try to convince you.”
Kurt smiled at that and nodded slowly, making a mental note to thank Rachel and Finn for this later. For right now, he was busy plotting what else to do with Sam on this blind date. He had a feeling it wouldn’t be their last.
Summary: For Kum Week. Sam is a teen superhero who saves Kurt one night from a mugging.
AN: I do not own Glee. Also this story was written at 11 pm so forgive any errors please.

At school, Sam kept up his dorky persona. The boy next door who told impressions and was way into his comic books. If that’s the way people saw him, then he didn’t care. The only person who mattered was Kurt, his best friend.
They had been friends for as long as Sam could remember. Since they were babies, Kurt and Sam had done everything together. Why Sam had never told Kurt about his powers was not that simple. Kurt thought comic books were silly, even if he willingly sat beside Sam and let him list off every single fact he knew about any particular comic book. They were best friends and it seemed as though Kurt didn’t mind talking about them or listening to Sam talk about them.
No, Sam just didn’t know how to explain what had happened to him. It still confused him how he had powers similar to Spider Man, which made him be able to get to and from places as quickly as possible. Kurt would never talk to him again if he knew.
At least, that’s what Sam thought. One night, he was under his persona, wearing a skin tight yellow and brown body suit with an insignia, BC, on the front, when he heard a cry for help. The voice sounded familiar and Sam used his heightened sense of hearing to get a reading on where the sound was coming from. Once he realized it was coming from an alley near the theater, Sam raced to the ara just in time to see a man holding Kurt at knife point.
Sam’s heart jumped in his throat. His best friend was in danger and needed help! Feeling a burning need to save the brunet boy who had done so much for him, Sam immediately took down the would be mugger, just as a police unit came up in their car. Sam passed the mugger off to them before checking on Kurt.
“Are you okay?” Sam asked, giving the boy a once over.
“I’m fine. Hey, I know you...you’re that superhero they’re always talking about.” Kurt said, a wide smile on his face.
Sam chuckled, trying to disguise his voice since he knew Kurt would recognize it. “That’s me! But really, are you okay? Do you need to get checked out?”
Kurt shook his head, just giving Sam a warm smile. “I’m okay. Just...thank you.”
Sam nodded and turned to leave when Kurt called his name, “What can I call you?”
Turning his ever so slightly, Sam stayed silent for a moment before replying, “Call me Chamo.” It was short for his full name, but if only one person could call him that, then it could be Kurt. He didn’t see the smile on Kurt’s face as he slipped away into the night.

The next day at school, Kurt was gushing over his rescue to his best friends, Rachel and Tina. The girls were eating up the fact that he was saved by an actual superhero, something girls only ever dreamed of. Sam was at the table too, just listening and not really saying much. He didn’t want to give anything away, obviously, since supposedly he had been home doing homework.
He was happy he had saved Kurt, he just wished he could have revealed who he was. But he was still worried about bringing Kurt into this world, a world where he was in constant danger, always doing things that a boy his age shouldn’t be doing. He should have been hanging out with friends, focusing on school, and dating a girl...or boy, in Sam’s case.
“He’s so dreamy,” Kurt sighed, making Sam perk up in interest. He definitely hadn’t been paying attention to this part of the conversation, and it was pretty clear he should have been. Kurt was smiling, a smile he had never seen before, and it made Sam sit up straighter in his seat.
“Your own personal super hero, Kurt, it’s so romantic.” Rachel said softly.
“If only you knew who he was.” Tina said.
Clearing his throat, Sam was only trying to get the taste of pudding to get out of the back of his throat, but then he noticed the girls and Kurt were staring at him. “Oh, uh...” Sam had to really think of something to say, because it was almost as if he had been caught red handed. For what, he didn’t know, he just had to think of something. “Do you know if you’ll bump into him again?” Sam finally settled for asking. At least, this had made it seem like he was part of the conversation and had been interested all along.
“I don’t know. He usually only appears when there’s...”
“Danger,” Rachel finished, shaking her head. “I’d rather you not be in danger anymore, Kurt. But maybe you’ll bump into him during a nice, peaceful evening.”
“I hope so. I just want to thank him again.”
Sam smiled, looking down so no one could see it. He wouldn’t be able to explain that one away.

That night, Kurt was taking a walk near his house when he heard a rustling noise behind him. Turning his head, Kurt didn’t see anyone and he shrugged his shoulders. It was probably nothing. He continued on his walk when all of a sudden, a figure came popping out in front of him, causing him to jump.
“Oh!” Kurt raised his hands, immediately as though on the defense, until he saw a familiar figure with a familiar mask.
“It’s okay, I won’t hurt you, Kurt.” The masked man said and Kurt’s eyes widened.
“You know my name?” He asked hesitantly.
Nodding his head, the stranger came up to him, standing close to him and making Kurt shiver slightly. “I heard you wanted to thank me again.”
Kurt’s eyes widened, almost absolutely stunned. “How did you know?”
Shaking his head, the figure merely placed a hand on Kurt’s cheek. “I just know.”
Smiling, Kurt reached out to begin to pull the mask off. However, the person took his hands to stop him. “It’s okay. I just want to see your face.”
For a moment, all was quiet, as neither of them moved or even breathed. Finally, the masked man nodded his head and Kurt slowly removed the mask. Gasping, Kurt’s hands came to rest over his mouth, eyes wide as he took in the sight before him.
“Sam?”
Sam nodded his head, smiling weakly as he just looked at Kurt. “I...I can explain.”
“How? When? Why didn’t you tell me?” So many questions and yet, so little words could be formed.
“Accident in the chemistry lab about a year ago. I didn’t tell you because...I wanted to keep you safe. I knew you’d think it was dangerous what I was doing. All I wanted to do was help people. I never wanted you to get hurt.”
Kurt reached up and gently caressed Sam’s cheek, just taking him in. Sam was holding his breath once more.
“So all this time, you were my super hero?” Kurt asked, voice barely above a whisper.
Nodding his head, Sam licked his lips as he replied, “Yes. It was me.”
A gentle smile crossed his face and a moment later, Kurt was pressing his lips against Sam’s in a tender kiss. Smiling into the kiss, Sam wrapped his arms around Kurt, holding him close, protecting him from the world around them as their lips moved perfectly together.
He may have been BC to the world, but to Kurt Hummel, Sam Evans was his own personal hero.
