Hi I'm going to talk about about the family™ again.
(Put a read more here since this ended up longer than I meant for it to-)
So between the four of the parents, Roguefort obviously has the most experience with Children, while Alchemist has the least. Banana is an eldest child and Kumiho has adopted a few kids of her own, so they're also good with the kids. Alchemist kind of struggled with connecting to the kids at first, but it didn't take long for him to decide that actually she'd die for them. Also, mostly unrelated to parenting but my au's Alchemist prefers masculine terms, so she's their dad :)
But yeah Alchemist doesn't really take the kids out on fun trips like the others do, but she does try to talk to them about their interests and occasionally let's them help out in the lab, if Roguefort decides it's safe enough. One thing that she and Kumiho like to do sometimes is go out into the middle of nowhere and shift to their animal forms for a bit. Kumiho can stay in her cookie form for as long as needed, but it's not really good for her to do it for too long. She also gets homesick, so every now and then she and Alchemist would head over there and camp out a few nights. After Kumiho adopted Snow Sugar, they'd also bring them along so they could feel safe shifting into their true form without worrying about people judging them.
Banana loves to bring Sorbet and Chestnut to watch her shows! The two both have a lot of things they wanna do that they previously weren't able to, and she's gonna help them do it all damnit!!! She takes them to amusement parks, goes on hikes up cool mountains with them, and more! Banana at some point also let them play around on a trampoline! The other two also got to participate and it was a fun time!
The winter season is pretty rough for Sorbet, so during the winter you know they are going to be cuddling up next to all of their parents! Chestnut often joins in too, since he also hates the cold. Honestly any time anyone in the family starts cuddling up its only a matter of time before everyone is piled up in a pile of blankets in the living room.
Alchemist and Walnut used to pretty frequently see each other in the kitchen at 2 am and it's just Alchemist tricking herself into getting a healthy sleep schedule as she desperately tries to fix Walnut's
