one time kunigami is helping reo with his hair and absentmindedly calls him sweetheart and reo literally never lets him live this down. 'hey I'm your sweetheart you have to pretend to be my date to this event so nagi gets jealous' kunigami regrets ever opening his mouth

one of the worst things about blue lock is how little it focuses on character interactions outside of Isagi.

like Nagi and Reo at least have Episode Nagi.

but there are a million character interactions that could've been really fun but they were abandoned so we could get more Isagi glazing.

Bachira and Rin, for one, had something really interesting initially, the way Bachira is the closest thing Rin had to a friend in Blue Lock, and they both played soccer for other people, then had to search for other reasons. Plus they were sort of developing some kind of bond, until Isagi swooped in again.

Kunigami and Chigiri are cute in theory but we barely got to see them building any sort of bond. And now we still don't get to see them interacting at all.

Shidou and Bachira I will go to my goddamn grave wishing we actually saw them be buddies because they've literally got so much in common in terms of creativity and freedom, and demon/monster parallels, AND the fact that Bachira makes excellent passes and Shidou needs good passes.

I also would've liked to see more of Reo and Kunigami, as well as Reo and Shidou, but maybe Episode Nagi won't fumble that.

Also the fact that we had Kunigami vs Shidou again but the author failed to focus on them at all and didn't show those two beefing when Shidou deliberately sent Kunigami home... like really?

I also think Kaiser and Chigiri are fascinating, as well as Chigiri and Barou, and Nagi and Chigiri were such a good duo when they were together, like really just, give Chigiri any goddamn character interactions at all, WHERE IS MY BOY

I miss Nagi and Barou too.

Most importantly, I really really really.

Miss Shidou and Sae.

Like it's been too damn long.

have been contemplating kunireo. i think reo tried to rebound with kunigami after his fight with nagi (and they lost chigiri) and was immediately humbled by kunigami not even realizing he was being flirted with

Was scrolling through tumblr doing nothing but listening to music, Mary On A Cross at the time. I switched back to my writing doc and the line I had just finished was "Kunigami wiped Reo's tears tenderly, regardless of the mascara that had started to run. Reo was still perfect in every way." JUST AS THE LINE "YOUR BEAUTY NEVER EVER SCARED ME" PLAYED. OMG
