“Remember that I’ll always love you.” This scene is actually so important because Maki has separation anxiety due to his parents splitting so Umi being right there as he wakes up to reassure him how much she loves and cares for him had to be such a huge weight off his shoulder. I love how understanding she is of his situation. She’s a beautiful person.
