Demo 2.0 Notes [1]; Oracle Main Route - Soulless and Kuras

Alright, there is NO WAY one post will be able to handle ALL the screens I got. But anyway, here we go!

! Spoilers, duh

"I could've had a home" - This line really piqued my interest. I wonder if it's the same in the other two backstories? I'll play them in the following days!

Also, the theory that the Soulless was trying to "save" the MC seem very much possible to me now

In regards to the beloved doctor; respectfully, DAMN.

"You're soooo very pretty... Are you missing a belt?" (No, he's not)

But he IS more smily now :3

The MC is much more honest to him. And he, too, reveals he KNOWS? I kinda feel betrayed, but he's an otherwordly doctor. Of course he knew.

Also, WHAT DO YOU MEAN "FAMILIAR"? WHA-- HUH????

Interesting how it mentions that Kuras is Mhin’s only friend, yet on the same page, mentions that Mhin believes people are only friendly when they want something from you.

Does Kuras have ulterior motives for befriending Mhin? Does he see them as a medical anomaly bc of their transformation? (Reminiscent of his “fascinating patient” line directed at MC, where maybe his investment in others is partially based on medical curiosity?) Will Kuras betray Mhin’s trust?

Bad Ending Bingo!

Any bad endings you anticipate happening?

Seems important that Kuras is the background pic. It raises implications like -

- is kuras a monster?

- if he's an angel AND a monster, is the shroud "heaven"? Or a third place- more like purgatory?

- as angels often can travel between realms historically, would he actually struggle with this adjustment period?

- when he was condemned to be amongst humanity, I'm assuming he can't go back- has he lost some of his power/less teathered to the spirit realm?

The fact that Kuras supposedly feels guilty, or is repenting- but has such a low empathy score??? Soooo interesting to me. That he would dedicate so much time to help humanity as a doctor if that's the case. Does he not really regret what has happened, and serves humanity now to feed his own ego? Does he see his injured patients the same way that people view insects? And what will a relationship with MC look like, if he struggles to care about their curse and their past?

I hadn't seen this on the Itch.io page before - raises the questions

What violent ambitions does Ais have? We see him beat up the roughneck at the bar but he seems pretty chill in the demo at the same time...

WHO condemned Kuras? Was it himself? Some god? Does the punishment of "existing amongst humanity" hint at his crime (or maybe a previous distaste for humanity?)

Makes sense that Kuras doesn't charge rent bc he doesn't have to eat food and (bc he was there when Eridia was founded) is likely a Property Owner™️ so he doesn't have to pay rent. He also emits a LOT of heat so idk if he needs heating either.. His expenses must just be supplies for patients and like - sewage. Prob actually making interest on the secrets he learns

One of my more out-there theories is that Kuras feels so much guilt because he caused the creation of the Soulless. Angels are responsible for the caretaking of souls. Though we don't know much about them, the name "Soulless" SEEMS pretty straightforwards. It also would explain to me how he is so interested in helping MC -in addition to the rest of the town, where the population is regularly terrorized by the Soulless. He has to make up for his mistake.
