Let's say something changed around Jergen's and Ilfhil's birth and they somehow didn't get the whole werewolf gene — given it is genetic for Sifkni. The world of TES is weird, perhaps somehow it skipped over them or weird magic stuff happened when Sif lost her wolf briefly during the whole hunt in the Hunting Grounds.
How would Sif take it? What would Farkas think? :)
Ohhh wonderful questions.
If neither of them were born as wolves, Sifkni would still love and cherish them like she does. It would also give them the chance to choose whether they wanted to be a werewolf or not…. Being born as one, they don’t have that luxury (something I still need to bring into the fic of Sifkni being unable to cure herself or others with her blood).
And before everything that changed, back when it was only Ilfhil, she wasn’t even born a wolf. :3c and I had thoughts of Illy being a wolf and Jergen being mortal.
But in the end, they were born on Hircine’s Summoning day to two werewolf parents. lol.
As for Farkas, as long as the pups are healthy he cares little if they’re wolf or not. I fear this is a tad boring lol. And Tbf, even if they weren’t the healthiest, I know both Sifkni and Farkas would do their best to make life worthwhile.
Going back to Sifkni losing her wolf, I could see a different story spinning had that been the reason they weren’t wolves. Her hastiness and confidence in the hunt becoming the reason her pups lost their wolf…. That’s a whole other story. She would still love them but the immense guilt she would feel.
I love seeing your MCD and specifically Tu'la wordbuilding stuff because I have been in a major lull for my own fanfic writing for MCD stuff and it is motivating to see! Like it got me actually thinking about my own worldbuilding and making me want to start doing it again so thank you a lot! Seriously!
I'm so happy I could motivate you!! I love it when your MCD stuff comes across my dash too, I adore your worldbuilding about regional phrases and the little skits of how people from different regions interact with one another because of these regional differences, it especially pleases the languages georg in me /silly
I love sharing worldbuilding and getting to bounce off other people's ideas and take inspiration from my mutuals and friends, it's so much fun to see what others come up with. I might have to start posting more of my worldbuilding once I nail down a few more things.
18. What was the lowest point for them as a couple?
Uhm…. I’ve put these two through fucking Oblivion and back and it doesn’t seem to be stopping. But they both probably agree that their miscarriage is lowest for them (And losing Kodlak shortly after).
19. What's something they can't stand about each other?
Sifkni takes on too much when there is danger. Farkas wants her to divide and conquer but she charges ahead by herself.
Farkas’ has confidence in the skills he knows, but he’s reluctant to start new skills out of fear of being made fun of. Sifkni is trying to coax him out of that mindset by tackling new things together.
I thought that video with the wolves and apple you reblogged yesterday was really cute, so I wrote you a fic based on it. I hope I did Sifkni justice!

In the middle of a midnight run across the plains, Farkas veered off-course. Sifkni and Vilkas’ howls either grew more distant or Farkas’ ears had turned off. He’d caught a scent and he intended to follow it.
A campfire had been set up here, next to a running creek. Did Farkas know whose it was? The scent was maddening familiar, as if he’d perhaps passed the person once or twice in the streets of Whiterun.
His enthusiastic nosing knocked something small and round. Farkas touched his nose to it as he sniffed, then gave it an experimental bite.
An apple! How exciting.
He laid down to lick at it. Sifkni and Vilkas’ howls grew louder now as they neared. Paws padded the ground, then came panting, and the long grass near Farkas rustled. A great auburn wolf broke through first, blue eyes piercing even in the darkness. Sifkni sniffed at Farkas’ apple, curious, and then let off when Farkas tensed. She laid down beside him, and Farkas continued to happily lick away.
Vilkas came over to Farkas right away to put his mouth over Farkas’ head. Farkas stilled, though certainly not because he believed Vilkas actually meant to hurt him. Farkas growled. When Vilkas nosed at the apple, bared teeth preceded a snap. No.
But Vilkas didn’t care. He circled Farkas and Sifkni, eyeing the apple. Defensiveness rose in Farkas. Vilkas always did this. He didn’t even like apples! Not even in human form. He only wanted to pester Farkas and ruin the experience of this glorious find.
Vilkas tried again to go for the apple, crawling over Farkas from behind. That did it. Farkas stood up, which launched Vilkas into the air as his own tension led to a jump. Farkas snapped his teeth and took off in chase. Vilkas tried to outmanoeuvre Farkas, but Farkas knew him too well. They tripped over each other, tumbled, and then rolled in a growling mess. Before either one could come out on top, they sprang apart.
Panting almost as though he laughed, Vilkas trotted off into the grass. Farkas sulked back the way he’d come, back toward Sifkni. He broke the grass, and would’ve gasped as a human at what he saw.
Sifkni licked at his apple. His apple! She stopped when she noticed him. With her head down so that the whites of her eyes were visible like quarter-moons, she wagged her tail.
Farkas huffed an exhale. Then, again with each step over to her that he took. He dropped in front of her, nose between his paws as he stared at the apple. He would not whine. He wouldn’t.
Sifkni’s licks slowed. After a long moment, she knocked the apple with her nose. It rolled toward Farkas.
Happiness rose inside Farkas’ chest. He went for the apple, then paused. Passing over it, he licked into Sifkni’s mouth first. She watched him for a moment before standing. She ran off, probably to find Vilkas. Until Farkas’ apple was gone, she would keep his bothersome twin away.
I am fucking crying over how cute this was! Omg! I love you anon! You are a wonderful person and I wish you nothing but good things forever! Thank you! Thank you!
Ooh! Mooncrossed is a story about Sifkni’s parents meeting, their courtship, their time running the pack m, and then ultimately the fall of the relationship and the ruin of the pack. :3c it’s supposed to span from Fjolfr and Ilfhil’s meeting up until Ilfhil’s death. Where I may attempt to rewrite Sifkni’s pov from her mother’s death until the beginning of Roar of a Wolfborn. (I have to be careful ; knowing me while I’ll never be able to redeem him for his actions, I will make myself like him)
Aelsif is another AU where instead of Farkas, it’s Aela who gains Sifkni’s attention! :3 there’s not a lot written.
Mooncrossed
Fjolfr walked down the grassy hill, careful to not slide on the early morning dew. He had woken early due to a soft sound. Something his ears had never heard. At least, not that soft and fluttery. Not someone he knew. The sound grew louder with each soft footfall. He paused. Someone sang. Low and soft. A gentle hum. He parted the tall grass and looked out into the plains below.
A young lady sat by the shore of a pond. Her feet dangled into the water below. She ran her fingers through the burnt umber locks. She slowly plaited strands of hair. She turned her head as if she sensed him. She had to be the same age as him. If a little younger.
Their eyes locked.
Her sage green eyes with his vibrant sky blue.
His eyes darted across the large scars across her face.
Fjolfr swallowed before he scrambled away.
She was like him.
A werewolf.
How could he not sense it before?
He ran up the hill and through the lush forest. He ran all the way home. He leaned over his knees as he panted, trying to catch his breath.

“Sifkni! Sif! Join us!” Aela laughed as she held a mug to the smaller woman.
Sifkni limped over and sat next to Aela, taking the mug. She held the mug to her lips and took a sip.
“You’re staying cooped up in that room too much. Come join us more.” Aela put her arm around Sifkni and pulled her close. “You’re basically family at this point.” Aela laughed.
Sifkni frowned a little. “Hardly. I’m still a guest…. Still injured at that….” She sighed a little, before drinking.
“You’re getting there. You manage the stairs just fine now.” Aela pulled away and sipped on her mug.
“Hardly. I’m hoping I’m healed enough by the end of the month so I can be out of your hair. I’m sure you’d enjoy your bed back.” Sifkni smiled a bit. She covered her frown with the mug. She didn’t want to leave. She had grown comfortable in the Mead Hall. And with Aela. She knew it was a matter of time before someone suggested she leave. Someone in the Circle. Or one of the whelps.
“Aela not wanting to share a bed with a woman? We might want to send her to the Temple if that's the case.” Vilkas laughed.
Sifkni felt her cheeks flush. She looked away.
Aela laughed and pounded her fist on the table. “Ain’t that the truth….” She continued to laugh. “Man. I haven’t had the time lately….”
Sifkni looked at her. “I…. I can sleep in the common room if you….”
Aela raised her brows. “Oh. No. That’s okay.” She smiled. “I offered my room. You’re not healed yet.”
“I’m healed enough….”
Aela laughed. “No… no. Really. It’s okay, Sif.”
Sifkni nodded slowly. She focused her eyes on a spot outside the doors. She felt a slight pang in her heart. Part from taking over Aela’s room. And the other part. Jealousy? Was she jealous over the thought of Aela paying attention to another woman?
“Sif?”
Sifkni turned her head towards Aela. “Aye?”
“You zoned out. You okay?”
Sifkni looked at her empty mug. She nodded as she put it down. “Aye….” She shook her head. “I’m …. I’m going back down….” She staggered to her feet. She leaned against the wall at the stairs and slowly made her way down.
Aela shot Vilkas a glare. He held his hands up defensively. Aela sighed before taking a long drink of the mead, finishing off the mug. She finished Sifkni’s mug as well. “Divines, Vilkas….”
“What?”
“Be a little more sensitive to her situation….” Aela stood up.
“I am. She’s healing. I think she can give your room back….” Vilkas looked at her. “Unless that’s something you don’t want to do?” He held his mug to his lips and arched his brows at her.
Tbh I think Sifkni reveres him too much to think of a relationship with him. You figured she’d be okay with a tall hairy (furry) man who can become a monstrous creature. 🤣 but she will pass over him.
Now his wife? Adelina !? Yes. Yes please. If Sifkni hadn’t been married to Farkas, she’d climb that tree instead.
Oh that’s another thing that I’ve ever thought about. Hmmm. I think Sifkni would pass on him bc he doesn’t seem to like being a wolf (and she cures him in her story). If Sinding embraced his wolf, she might give him a chance.
Chiqi!!!!!!!! You’re such a wonderfully talented friend and I’m glad to have you in my life! I love that I came across your stuff during a random wip Wednesday. I love Talisse so so much! I hope to continue reading her adventures. Btwn Ondolemar and Ralof lol 😂 I love love love the situations you put that mer in! Screaming
