5th Anniversary Of Katakuri’s Introduction (Or in Absinthe’s Case Her Darling Kuri-Boo
Remember when the translators tried to push Dogtooth on us but we stuck with Katakuri and thank goodness. Then again Dogtooth was a good foreshadowing. Long time mutuals who know I started as an specific oc blog deicated to him would know this is probably how long I have had Absinthe as a character even though I haven’t really used her in a while as some other mutuals have gone silent. But I do have to say that it’s intriguing how this man just became one of my top favorite crushes.
I remember all the speculation about how he looked like and even if Pudding was really Katakuri. I expected him to look like a goofy characterization as expected of Oda, but instead he came out looking like stepped out of an edgy senien/darker shonen manga like Berserk or Fist Of The North Star. And let’s just say Oda got a lot of new female readers that day. I also never expected him to get some characterization and development but man did it do wonders for his character. I do have to say as well that I hope he comes back in the future in some way.
