"Fledgling Day" is Kuro's version of Adoption Day in The Promised Neverland (as any kid of any age now can have one)

I have a feeling "Fledgling Day" is when they go and get bled out for R!Ciel to keep him alive, which is why the older kids are nervous. They want to protect the younger kids but now that's changing.

I think the kids in this cover are the one with the highest aptitude in their classes

And from Artie and Oliver reaction to the news about Ginny's fledging day it seems that they knew about the real meaning of the fledging day and I guess the one with high aptitude knew the secret of the orphanage
