Ohhh, I haven’t thought about Tsukasa and Neji before. What is this specific image you guys speak of where they are together? You can’t just leave us (me) hanging!

oho-ho…… rubbing my hands…. let me elaborate!

first things first, they’re both in the same term and their class leaders in case one needs some canon backup for a ship. i’m sure there were times when they just looked at each other during thematic gatherings and understood whatever they were thinking without saying anything, exchanging conspiratorial smiles and respecting each other in general. they look like they’re on pretty much the same wavelength, but never had the chance to realize it or get more out of it because they had so much work to do in univeil

i already mentioned it about kokuto in my post on oh, rama havenna!, but they’re similar in a way they seem to be very mature for their age. kokuto because of his young traumatic experiences and ways to cope and get used to them, and tsukasa because of his stern upbringing resulting in an adverse aftermath, too, as well as his attempts to be a good big bro for marechan. they’re open to things most teenagers are self-conscious, doubtful, and unsure of. they’re so liberated that people around them might have problems keeping up with them—their habits, standards, and beliefs—yet when they’re together, there’s none of that. they feel absolutely free, and if something comes to hand, they’re willing and ready to deal with it (it mostly applies to post-univeil time, though, i’d say)

of course, there’re still things they need to learn and work on in the long run, some mental issues that are yet to be resolved, but it’s totally within their ability to help each other realize: whatever it is stuck in their head going back to their past that might hurt, or scare them, or destroy their self-esteem and love for themselves, it’s beatable and, in fact, doesn’t matter much in the present

kokuto might only get giddy and see tsukasa as his potential muse at first, but it soon grows into something serious, actually, as he realizes that this person can give him pretty much everything he’s ever needed, namely acceptance, understanding, patience, support. i don’t think he’s a fan of casual dating, he wants to commit and latch onto someone for the rest of his life in the best-case scenario

with that being said, tsukasa is particularly difficult to satisfy. he’s got high standards which you’d think, looking at kokuto, he could never fit, but surprisingly, he does better than anyone else. in terms of romance, tsukasa needs someone who can make his life both serene and zesty, who can accept his affection the way he’s used to showing it because it’s quite unique, and respond to it accordingly. with the way kokuto both perceives the world around him in a wide-angle view and can see through people, he has all the chances to grasp every little thing tsukasa subtly puts into his talk and action. he might not be a perfect boyfriend in the traditional sense, but that’s what tsukasa likes about him since he doesn’t keep the traditional image of relationships in his head either. it makes everything so much easier for them

obviously, they’re (somewhat) unhinged and match each other’s freak perfectly, and while tsukasa is encouraged to go about more shenanigans around kokuto, he might as well humble and handle him when needed. after all, kokuto’s got those crazy frenzies and zoomies and needs to be kept on a leash every now and again /hj. when they’re in an established relationship, they become that insufferable couple people cannot fucking stand. they aren’t shy to show their affection and talk about each other however they want to in public. light-heartedly picking on people they cherish, sharing the same braincell, constantly having fun, finding each other’s faults an indispensable part of their personality and charm—as they realize they can be together, it feels like they found a soulmate, for there’re not much people who can understand and conform to them as well as they do all that with each other

YOOO guys !!!! i finally posted my first kokuto/tsukasa fic on ao3 (generally, i love calling them kurokasa ww). if you liked my posts about kokuto, you’ll like this one, i promise. there’re also two gays obsessed with each other and being affectionate in everything they do, isn’t that a nice bonus?
