I always thought that Yana said Sebastian's eyes were supposed to be "tea brown" and that it was the original anime and this current new one that are the ones getting it wrong.

I don’t think the women in Kuroshitsuji are all sexualized or stereotypes at all. Characters like Lizzie, Sieglinde, Grell, Angelina, Frances, Mey-Rin, and Doll are all complicated characters in their own right, female characters can be flawed yet interesting just like male characters can. Even in cases where they are definitely sexualized (which I am critical of btw) like Ran-Mao, Beast, or Nina, they still are intriguing characters that have agency and/or importance in the story.

I really don't understand people who dislike Grelle for being a "bad person" like did we not watch the same series? Nobody's hands are clean here. And she killed Madam which made people upset and it's like... did you really think she was going to stay for longer than she did? Kuroshitsuji is a lot of things but subtle isn't one of them (most of the time anyway). She was a walking death flag and how some of y'all didn't assume it is beyond me.

People who openly hate on Dadbastian are so pathetic to me lol. It’s cool if you don’t like it but to sit here and whine about it is crazy. You literally sound like: “WHAAAA! WHAAA! PEOPLE ARE ENJOYING SOMETHING I DONT AGREE WITH EVEN THOUGH ITS A HEADCANON!”

Just block the tag? Get off of tumblr? Go outside? Do SOMETHING instead of shitting your pants over a couple of memes and a fanfiction or two lmao.

Also it’s hilarious when they’re like “omg guys it’s not canon” NO SHIT SHERLOCK?? If you only enjoy any type of media in the realm of canon and don’t like it when people have fun with the characters and throw in their ideas and AUs then you’re boring asf and should probably stay out of fandoms.

I think people in the fandom who genuinely harbor hate towards dadbastian aren’t actually reading the manga. Because a lot of dadbastian AUs are very much grounded in their canon interactions and the relationship between these two characters is integral to the whole story.

Also this fandom has an awful reputation, so focusing your energy towards hating on a fandom creation that portrays a totally appropriate platonic relationship between two characters is a weird use of your time. Generally if you can’t handle fandoms doing things like creating AUs or pushing canon a little to the left for the sake of fanworks, then you definitely aren’t the kind of person who would even enjoy fandom interactions anyways.

My brain might be completely making up this memory but if it’s true you can’t convince that’s not dad-son behavior.

R!ciel is seriously overhated for simply being an antagonist. We don't even know what his motives are.

O!ciels lie would have been exposed either way and you can't expect r! ciel to just ignore it and stay in the underground forever. That boy would want to live too and he is unaware of why o!ciel took his name (he stated that).

In the flashback he has shown to be quite compassionate with o!ciel such as how he cared for him while he was sick or how he is shown to try to drag o!ciel along when they tried to run from the cult when he could have just escaped on his own. So why would that suddenly disappear after he got brought back.

Undertaker has stated that r!ciel entirely thinks and acts on his own so the argument that undy is manipulating him is false. Not to mention undertaker even said that he doesn't care which phantomhive he is with since he cares about both (he said that in the flashback) so he obviously wouldn't want to harm o!ciel. I get why you guys are doubtful of this since he brought doll back but like I said we don't know their motives yet besides wanting to collect blood in order to make r!ciel function.

You guys often like to hate on him while treating o!ciel like a child that needs to be protected even though both have caused many deaths (I would argue more people died because of o!ciel than r!ciel since sebastian and the servants kill intruders pretty much on like a weekly basis).

And the argument that r!ciel might be unhappy because he was brought back to live by undertaker without being asked is so stupid. That boy died when he was 10?! He didn't even had a chance to experience life and grow older. He was robbed of that and just because he was brought back by undertaker without being asked doesn't have to mean that he wouldn't want to live now. He seems pretty happy actually, especially since he could see his brother again. And I mean how could he even have given permission in the first place, it's not like anyone knew he could bring back people so that is just stupid to assume.

Not to mention he is just as traumatized as o!ciel. Maybe even more because he actually died there.

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to excuse r!ciels actions here, he still commited crimes that he should be held accountable for. But so did o!ciel and it's unfair that one is treated like a saint while the other like a devil even though they are both guilty.

As long as we don't know what he saw when he walked around during the attack and what his current plan is, you guys are just seriously overhating him (probably because of that rcmmt which is flawed anyways). And as long as we don't know all of that you also can't claim that he doesn't care about o!ciel because we literally don't know anything about him rn (the only things we know are from o!ciels flashback and that is just his view which was likely warped due to his inferiority complex that stems from his insecurities).

Ofc you can hate him simply because you do not like him but I'm merely addressing the people here that hate him for things o! ciel has done as well (and who still gets treated nicely)
