I gave up on the Kuroshitsuji manga because the pace was so punishing and she kept introducing new characters and revealing stuff without any buildup. Honestly I think the hiatus will be good for her so she can come back when she’s really ready, because to me it felt like she’s been half-assing all the chapters since the first hiatus ended in 2025. I think she needs to ride out the high of Twisted Wonderland and come back and redeem Kuro. It deserves a good ending. I don’t want it to be rushed like it has been for the past 2 years.

My first thoughts on Kuro chapter 228:

Hahaha! Sebastian and Snake, the butler and the footman, have a similar thought process going on. They have that "Huh?"/"Well, I, uhh..." thing going on and the universe thing is basically Yana's mathematics meme. Love it!

I like Modri is just so pissed off when they were like 👁👄👁 and Barnabus just moved on. Lmao!

Aw, poor John didn't get a turn. :( It's okay neither did Sebastian or Ciel. Maybe there's a chance if there's a chance.

But we did get Sebaciel. Hell yeah!

Okay so that guy was an imposter and a creep but did they have to murder him? Is there more to it than that? Perhaps he wasn't the right candidate. I know those two aren't human anymore.
