Will you feed me to your void?
When the manga is called "Black Butler", somewhere I want to see a story about how an insensitive demon began to serve a little earl. Together they solve crimes, while searching for those whom the little earl wants to take revenge on.
And throughout this story, we would observe changes in Sebastian's behavior and character – how a cold-hearted, cruel demon, who couldn't give a damn about all moral norms, eventually finds some truth or some meaning for himself. And even after the soul of 'Ciel' is consumed, he cannot get rid of the feeling that something has subtly shifted within him, and he will hardly ever make a contract that even closely resembles the one he had. He will make contracts, take souls, but what he experienced will never happen again.
Is he supposed to reach some kind of conclusion by the end? I mean, the manga is called after him (though, considering how much screentime side characters have been getting lately, I'm starting to doubt that)
OTHERWISE, WHAT IS ALL THIS FOR?
IF THAT BITCH AT THE END OF THE STORY PRETENDS THAT NOTHING HAPPENED, THEN I DON'T VOUCH FOR MYSELF
that exorcist guy is dead??? yana why would you give us a dilf and take him away. should have taken modri instead bring that man BACK
FUCKING HELL, YANA, ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!
AND WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?!?!
What's going on? Who are all these people?
The only thought that came to my mind is that I'm not reading a story about a black butler right now, but a completely different one. This exorcist club needs its own separate story, because Yana has drawn so many different characters, each of whom could have their own backstory (or maybe we're in for an arc dedicated to this clan)
Sebastian & Ciel, watching the Live Action Movie | my edit
and the rest is history
Just realized Sebastian was the only one who offered chocolate birthday cake to Ciel cuz he is the only one who knows Ciel's favorite, while Lizzie and Soma offered a strawberry cake , Rciel's favorite cake.. 😔..
Maybe O!Ciel had another way to be saved?
I can’t shake the thought that the Undertaker, mysteriously connected to the Phantomhive family, might have tried to find and save the twins, but was too late: the older one had already been sacrificed, and the younger one had made a contract with a demon.
But what if O!Ciel hadn’t made the contract? In the manga, this moment is always presented as the only lifeline for O!Ciel, as if he wouldn’t have survived without that help. Maybe right at that moment, the Undertaker had tracked down the cultists and was rushing to save the brothers, and if O!Ciel hadn’t made the contract, the retired reaper would have come and personally taken down those scoundrels (and then given the younger one a good talking-to)
(Don't mind this madman's rambling)
I've been wondering about one question for a few days now: what would have happened to Sebastian if O!Ciel had refused to make a contract? Would he have gone back offended to his demonic realm? Or would he have found another contractor among the cultists? However, considering that he was looking specifically for O!Ciel among everyone, then most likely, disappointed and humiliated by the refusal of a little boy, he would have returned to his lair
(I find it so funny just imagining this demon's reaction)
the way sebastian holds both of ciel's wrists in one hand here makes me insane
Sometimes I get the feeling that Yana first comes up with a specific situation for the characters, and then writes the rest of the story to fit it
i cant take sebaciel antis seriously anymore (not that i ever could lmao) cuz everytime i see them hating i imagine them as r!ciel
we share a braincell i think
AHAHAHAHAHA YES!

I WANT TO DELETE ALL MY POSTS AND LEAVE ONLY THIS!!!!!!!
By now, Yana has amassed so many enemies for Sebastian and Ciel: Undertaker with Ciel's almost-dead brother, an orphanage where Doll and her staff are still around (collecting and transfusing blood), possibly Queen Victoria with her angelic butler. And now they've added exorcists led by Van Helsing.
I feel like at some point, a completely fed-up Sebastian will say: "Young master, I think we'd better wait things out in the demon realm for a while. Let's go there and calmly figure out how to get ourselves out of this mess together".
And then the plot will go off into some weird thickets, and all that'll be left of the original setting are memories."
Another high res
more on flowers and symbolism:
This is a moon gate, a gate between the spiritual world and our own. Sebastian stands on one side and Ciel is on the other, perched on the edge between.
The flowers are globe amaranths. As per the site I use, the meaning is: unfading love (色あせぬ愛) and immortality (不死、不滅)。
Meanings in culture and floristry
○ An Everlasting Feeling: Translated from Greek, amaranth literally means "unfading." Bouquets containing this plant symbolize a bond that will endure any trials.
○ Immortality and memory: In ancient times, spherical flowers were planted at the burial sites of warriors, emphasizing their eternal glory and memory.
○ An "eternal" gift: Dried amaranth flowers retain their shape and rich color for several months (they are often called "winter friends"). This gift expresses the longevity of intentions.
(I think this looks so much like their relationship)
well, woman, he can't always show off his charming legs in slutty stockings and shorts, sometimes he has to look decent (i want him wearing stokings again)
I guess a part of me genuinely doesn't understand the need to add — not even new characters, but new creatures. Throughout this whole story about a demon, we've already seen grim reapers, zombies, and to some extent, werewolves. Now, apparently, Yana has decided to show us vampires.
If you look at Mordy, you can see he's grown fangs — exactly the same as Van Helsing's in the latest chapter.
Moreover, we see that he has a dependency on blood transfusions, but for some reason I get the feeling that he isn't involved in Undertaker's activities. Possibly, there was an agreement between the vampire order and Undertaker where, in exchange for supplying blood, they would be willing to resume their activities against demons. But that's just me guessing (I'm just trying to justify their appearance after so many years of story development, assuming it's not the author making things up on the fly)
I genuinely love this story. I've never become so attached to a story and its characters. But right now, I feel like I'm starting to get overwhelmed by all these branching plotlines. They made it very clear what kind of direction the characters are following, they led us to the conflict with the twin brother and to Undertaker. And it seemed like the story had entered its final stretch, and finally, after so many years of waiting, we could get a beautifully dramatic ending. But no.
In the author's defense, I can only guess that Yana herself doesn't want to let go of this story, so she wants to bring all her ideas to life.
Besides, back in chapter 43, they already hinted at vampires (back then I jokingly thought: the only thing we're missing for happiness is vampires).
And to end this post — I just want to say that somewhere, I miss the old dark detective atmosphere of Victorian England. But despite everything, I'll keep loving this story, because I've invested way too many emotions into it, and now I absolutely have to see how it all ends."
Sebastian: sponsors an orphanage for children who have lost their parents.
Ciel: — is that a dig at me?
