Book SEVEN is done!

Guys I just wrote 'the end' on my SEVENTH book! That doesn't even sound possible!

Writing is Really Hard Work, guys. It makes my brain hurt, and gives me the 'I don't want to's and sometimes makes me feel like I'm missing a ton of good things, like books and to shows and just chillin doing nothing.

Writing is a thing that, if you do it, you gotta commit. You can't keep saying 'I'll do some tomorow' because tomorrow is a thing that is never today.

You have to write today. You might have to give things up and miss out on things to do it. But, if you're meant to do this, it will be so worth it.

I am now about 1900 words into book two, with more to go. Tonight I'm taking a break to watch a movie (Pirates, yay!) that I wanted to watch a week ago, but didn't want *more* than I wanted to finish the book. Cos that's how it works. Hit the goal, get the reward.

I have pub dates set for my first two Age of Magic books now. The first will come out on the 29th, the second on the 6th (yes, one week later, no, I'm not ready for either!) (But I'm mostly ready) (Mostly).

I have soo many books to catch up on...

Another one hits the dust...

Well, almost. I mean, dust is gathering. I've handed off my first Kurtherian book and it's now entered The Process, which involves having three different writers look it over alongside a pro edit. I'm scared. I'm excited. Dammit, I'm *tired*. There is magic. Fight scenes. Illusion and false memory. A cult out to enslave an entire population. And through it all, Julianne. I think I love Julianne more than Emma, the protagonist from my first series. Jules is stronger, wiser, older. At the same time, she's looser. Her quips and jabs seem more natural, despite her staid demeanour when she has her professional guise on. Julianne is a woman leading a man's world, and I admire that. Her self doubt is rational and propels her forward instead of crippling her. She has an honest pride and complete faith in her friends. In the next book, she will learn things about herself that will surprise, I think, even me. She will stretch her powers and be torn between two places, but in the end I know she will do the right thing. That's just who she is.

Blank pages...

Are so enticing. They're full of possibility. Will it be a poem? A snappy short? Or the beginning of a long saga then draws you in and hooks you until the end? This is my blank page. I don't really know where it'll go, not yet. I mean, it'll chronicle my process writing in Michael Anderle's Kurtherian Universe, and have some other fiction stuff too. Possibly book reviews. Updates. Musings. You know, the usual. Follow along and tell me what you want to see! A.
