核桃 KurumiQ are still doing their weekly fb live streams, a different guest every episode.   The most recent live stream had Xiaosong 江松霖

(May 10th at 飛翔羽翼樂器行-Alas Musical instruments Store, uploaded to YT yesterday.) 

They start off with a 莫文蔚 Karen Mok cover, followed by lots of chit chat and laughter, response to fans watching on the fb stream. Then they play one of Xiaosong’s tunes at 14 minutes in. Very cute!! =D

核桃 KurumiQ.  I think this is the title track from their ep, 相信自己才是最重要的啊 Believe In Yourself.  Very sweet track, and that whistle sound is going to get stuck in your ear.  =D

By the way, they recently resumed their informal ‘Q time U & mi videos, but are now posting them to fb instead of YT. Just scroll down their fb to watch the clip from last Tuesday.  36 minutes long.

(Actually, since it is a live stream, the title is now Q Live U & mi.)

核桃 KurumiQ back on Yuran Session with one of their own songs. (they performed for Yuran’s iCover Session a few days ago)

And yesterday was their usual Wednesday Q time u & mi upload, this week the girls covered a song by katncandix2 棉花糖. You probably already know that they are on 2375studio 貳參柒伍工作室 label, which is 沈聖哲 Shen Sheng Je from katncandix2.

Looong day at the office: studio diary from KurumiQ’s debut ep recording session.   =D

First time I’ve seen 張璿 Syuan play full drum kit – just a brief part of this clip, but she’s good!  Not part of their usual live presentation, of the two side by side, with acoustic guitar and cajon/percussion, but maybe they’ll do some full-band shows with 張璿 on drums...

Hair today, gone tomorrow...

Waa Wei is back to the length she had several years ago. I suppose it was only a matter of time.

Which sister is which? 核桃 KurumiQ. Percussionist Xuan went short, while Yu kept it long.  (依錚依靜 Yi-Cheng Yi-Ching twins did the same thing – one short, one long) 

Elephant Gym (大象體操) guitarist Kaixiang Chang went super short in preparation for his military service. I think drummer Tu Chia-Chin has already begun his service. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong?)

So, who’s next? (Actually, I could use a haircut.)

The girls are back with episode #8 of 核桃 KurumiQ - Q time, where they cover a song and have some silly fun.  This is a lovely song from the period drama 還珠格格, I guess. They dress up at the end of the clip, very cute!  =D

Big thank you to tradchinesechars for info about the song/drama: 還珠格格 (Princess Returning Pearl) was an immensely popular TV drama shown in Taiwan and China in 1998. This song is from the second season, which was first shown in 1999.   =D
