“Medallion of a Royal Kushan”
“Medallion of a Royal Kushan” sketch from the Kuh-i Mori, Kapisa, Afghanistan. This dates to the late Kushan Period (circa 200 AD) and from 1966 Afghan excavation of the ruins of a Buddhist monastery. The excavation was led by Afghan archeologist Shabbai Mustamandi. Kuh-i Mori is located 9 km south-east of Gulbahar, Kapisa.
