Hi, would you be so so kind to share some of your fave Sam x Jack fics? <3
Oh, I wish I could remember all my faves! I’ve read soooo many and I lost all my bookmarks when I ruined my old iPhone. Let me try to think of some off the top of my head. Also, you should look through @bethanyactually’s stargate fic rec tag. Everything in there is excellent, and you can find one post there that has a huge list by author.
@kutchu tagged me to tell you three things about myself that you probably don’t know already, so let’s try this.
1. I’ve never watched the LOTR film trilogy (but I read the books twice, you can breathe now). 2. The earliest memory I have of my existence is from when I was two years old and left our garden to go to the playground all on my own. 3. When I shaved my head, I donated all that hair so it could be used for wigs for children with cancer.
Tagging no-one tonight because I’m too tired to think of anyone who hasn’t done this before.

3 things you’ve probably didn’t know about me...
once fractured my ankle on christmas eve while rollerblading. also kicked my little toe so hard a broke it. and once managed to break a small chunk of bone off the middle bone in my little finger on my right hand, did this by falling off my bike
my friends and I snuck out a lot as teenagers and, among other things, stole road signs, threw rocks at coal trains, and dragged an inflatable pool onto the highway...
there’s a game and it’s sequel, that if you combine my hours played it’s about 325 24hr days. (play less now, but still almost a year of my life, whoops?)
anyway tagging @samantha-carter-is-my-muse, @thetatyler, @lunarsilverwolfstar, @imadethisblogtofollowyou, @majorelorne, @sharlcy and @samcaarter
hi, i've just literally watched the interview with AT on some Fiona *i guess* programme and it's basically WOMEN BEHIND CANADIAN TV: AMANDA TAPPING but video version of it, i LOVED it to bits. She is such a insirational woman and so much more tbh <333
Yeah not only professionally, but also personally. Amanda Tapping is just such a cool person. And she always talks a lot about kindness and just being good and caring. People like that really have an impact. They make me pay more attention to what I do and say, and to strive to be kind and do what’s right. We’re lucky to live in a time when we have constant access to great influences like her.

Your take on the chances Quinn magically will be okay in s6? I know the letter was goodbye for good *probably* but still... just maybe
I’d say its like 90% certain he is dead and the 10% is just me wishfully thinking that there might be a way out of this pain.
What do you guys think?
hi, re: franny, let's not forget Carrie is kinda soldier, her priority is safety of her country and the show is called Homeland so being a mother changed her but if you're natural born soldier (as this is the case with Carrie) you can't be truly whole person just sitting home and raising kids. I know lots of military men and women i know what i am talking about.
Yes, I certainly don’t think Carrie is ever going to be a woman satisfied without her career, some women are able to dedicate their entire lives to being a mother and are very happy. But Carrie wouldn't be, I think, unless she could feel like she was making a difference in the world.
Having said that, I think that Franny/ being an involved mother has changed her perspective since last season - she is a lot more uncomfortable taking risks in the field. I think this is actually a really welcome and healthy change for Carrie who has previously leaned a little too heavily on her professional life to make her happy and keep her fulfilled.
