BROKEN FEATHERS

Holy hell I thought I would never be able to finish this drawing. I don’t know how many hours I’ve spent on this one but this is a picture I’ve had in mind since FOREVER.

I wanted to illustrate something cover-image-like for my all time favorite GinSherry fanfic Broken Feathers by @docalu.

Only one chapter to go and I’m equally excited and sad because it will soon come to an end.

Please give this fic a chance and read it. I’ve never gotten to read a story with a more fleshed out view on Gin’s past and background and my heart is bleeding for DocAlu’s version of him. I also love how they portrayed the relationship between Gin and Sherry to bits. Same goes for DocAlu’s portrayal of all the other characters (especially Vodka and Agasa captured my heart how I’ve never thought possible).

you mean apart from the things we joke about in this blog? I think considering Ichigo’s a doctor she’d take the chance to pretend she has a fever and needs doctor Kurosaki to examine her and give her an injection (u//w//u), also this, and pretty much anything she/they’re in the mood for, since she’s a good actress you could give her any costumes and she’d make it work, you know she’s very talented (¬‿¬)

Hhmmm... Here’s a headcannon, father-daughter dancing, just for the fun of it! I think back to when I was really little and my dad would dance around with me in the house. I would either stand on his feet or he would get on his knees so we were the same height. He put on his favorite artists... usually Elton John, Queen or U2. It use to cheer me up all the time. So sorry, I’m very sentimental lol.

It’s okay to be sentimental Anon, don’t worry.

The first time they danced was probably one of the fancy parties Kuugo gets invited to. Though, I can’t decide whether or not Aki would stand on his shoes, or he just sways with her in his arms. Either way, yes to the dancing.

And as a bonus, when Aki notices that Kuugo had a rough day, she’d put on a silly song and do a silly dance to cheer him up. Little Guppy’s gotta look out for her old man. :3

Ooooh! Forts! Pillow forts and blankets! In the winter, Aki and Kugo read together in a fort that Aki has crafted with massive pillows, string lights and fluffy throws. Aki takes full advantage of her dad being off and enjoys a relaxing afternoon with hot chocolate. It’s simple moments like this that the father daughter duo cherishes the most.

You bet Kuugo let’s her make pillow forts in his room and she WILL add her pillows and blankets into the fort. The lights are even shells and sea dollars! Gah! Super cute!

So, I just saw your request for Aki and Kugo moments. Do you think that Kugo goes out of his way to pack Aki’s lunches late at night and leaves sweet notes for his little guppy? Maybe even pack goldfish crackers. I know Aki is pretty self sufficient and mature for her age. But, I feel like Kugo would go out of his way to make his little girl feel like a care-free kiddo.

That is so cute, this is definitely canon! Right after he’s tucked her in to bed (after her failed attempt to wait for him) and eat dinner she’s made for him, he’d go through the fridge and make lunch for both of them (he knows Aki would have his hide if she found out he doesn’t eat lunch).

Now that you’ve mentioned Aki’s maturity, I feel like Kuugo would have to remind Aki she’s still young and that she CAN have fun, make friends (who aren’t pro heroes), and get into a little mischief.
