Hello! I’m Colorful 🍅 and this is my little introduction.
I’m mainly a writer with some drawing/doodles on the side.
Currently being tormented by The Silmarillion (not rings of power). There’s no specific character that’s latched onto me, but some favorites are Elwing; Curufin, Sauron, Amras & Amrod, Maedhros, and Aredhel.
I also have some slight interest in Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail here. Forgive me.
I love making OCs for one story and abandoning them (Dúros, Narhoss, Ídhrof & Ferendis, Sillindë, etc).
I am creating two languages as well (see first line!), but that’s not often mentioned.
Speaking English, but learning Spanish.
Obligatory, fuck bigots; ai, TERFs & TIRFs,radfems in general, racists, zionists, pedophiles, etc.
I'm thinking about trying to translate some of the elves' names into one of my conlangs just for fun but I can't decide which conlang. (Some lovely person already did something similar to this in their native language but I can't find it)
Which language + word examples
Ítrín (Ad Si vase cosi do poli tehpshi)
Kuvovai (Aë dët añadum losh na lai)
Voting ended onAug 3
Translation of both sentences: And I have written this for you all.
Ítrín: Pros--less made thus more freedom. Cons: generally have to follow the consonant+vowel rule
Kuvovai: Pros--More made thus less difficult. Cons: Very round sounds and names might be super long
Yso tsa, yso ats, yso Akilki, totomda olosha maël loshi gasiaga oy ga zaëot ano DAN auati.

—At gaz, da laun tunë ëtonaimi ak dan vaël-igau au gaz atimal, Aëdaucha.
Context:
Endless reach: The afterlife of the Duvenakuvov religion is to be reunited with their god Zaië, which is to enter her embrace and to rejoin her spirit that all humans come from. If one doesn’t follow the tenants of the religion or ask for repentance for your crimes, after death they are unable to reach Zaië. Thus they are endlessly reaching for her.
Akilki: She was one of the original followers when Ochana (the one who meet Zaië & is her prophet) came back to shore after the great storm she was lost in. Akilki was the first convert and helped spread the religion around through her speeches and writings. She codified the first tenants/ scriptures. After her death, her hypothesized lover, Kaiida (whom we get ida:heresy, from) convinced others to star worshiping Akilki along with Zaië & Ochana. This created a concept analogous to the Christian idea of sainthood and also let to the first major split in the religion: where you worship Zaimas or not.
Poetic context: To call someone Akilki is to say that you are Kaiida, and are devoted to them above all. In the Aiyatsmn sect, this implies such a great love that you would change the world for them and dedicate yourself to their care. In the Ailtochanimn sect, this means you love this person to the point of breaking all the rules that govern you, and condemning yourself.
Kos vs Chokos: Kos itself means love, generally. In Kuvovai there are three prefixes you can put on Kos to denote the type of love; Lai (familial), Ña (platonic), Cho (romantic).
Notes:
I changed around the A, Ë, N & T characters because they looked too similar and it was hard to differentiate.
I might have to change the N symbol eventually because it looks close to the Ñ symbol, but it’s okay for now.
If a character has a line above it, it is capitalized.
Oh High Star, don’t take her. She is of the earth.
But you are gone, my other half.
Translation notes:
Names—It’s interesting that both of these poems contain the names of the author. Usually Ichakilki only refers to himself as Ichakilki in his works. So, to have both his name instead of a pseudonym, his last name and the name he went by in Ítrín is very rare.
Meter—Both poems attempt to have a similar meter of 12 syllables, 5, 12 and then 6. While this makes sense because that was a style Ichakilki used most often during the early years, it’s very strange how he kept it despite how greatly his writing changes after 0KIS-35/100-2/13, along with the different languages used as well.
High star—It is a reference to the Sinvalthin god Olcalaren, who is the god of balance, rulers, stars, the sky and some more things. He is know for taking the great leaders and artists and inviting them to his court (ie: the stars)
Stars—Despite being an inanimate object, stars are referred to with animate pronouns. This is because it was thought in the Sinvalthin religion that stars are the souls of great people/people in general and as such, they are animate.
Tow—Although this word more accurately describes the idea of ‘perfect opposite’ (aka, opposite things that are heavily intertwined. Ex: Life and Death), it can be translated to mean “other half’. The translator thought that translating it this way would help display the romantic undertones of the poem.
Íh—this is a prefix used to imply affection or a pet name. As such in this poem while it’s translated to simply ‘heart’, it means something similar to ‘my heart’
For this Valentine’s Day, I will be telling all about my AroAce OC from my worldbuilding project; Afwísent.
Aroareyi FyaÍtesílhow
She lived around the end of the silver age collapse and died in her late fifties. She never married or had any known romances.
She is notable for creating the citadel, Yalíhow-Talre (~The City Hill with Three Walls)
Yalíhow-talre was as its name describes. This safety and Aroareyi’s own promotion of the arts within it led to a booming population and increased the country’s stability.
Another accomplishment of hers is taking over territory in the neighboring country; Ítevsar and some more land in her country; Calahywehs
Not much is known about her younger life as most of the records that may have existed were probably destroyed during the steel age collapse
Despite how inheritance worked for the Sosvelarín of the time, she was passed down the control by her father
(Though rumor suggests that she killed all of her competition. Most historians have now begun to reject this narrative due to its little evidence. Instead it seems more likely that she may have killed a few, but not all)
One of her relatives had nephews that she took in, with the eldest (Enriofyawp) going on to become the first king of the Savithertreoe empire; which it’s capital is Yalíhow-talre, while the other became a famous author.
It is actually due to the author, who went by the pen name Doyeral, that we know about Aroareyi. He wrote the histories to that time with a big segment on her, which now is mostly lost.
Additionally, Doyeral wrote some plays with one of the stock characters being thought to be a representative of her (Olcatilalíp). This character is a noble woman known for being the most level-headed out of the group & often solves the problems, though she is very blunt & unfriendly.
While her exact looks have are not known, it is assumed that she was tall masculine woman with brown hair. This is based on a poem sent from a reject suitor; Narwoal, and murals within the first place that is assumed to depict her.
(No one knows this, but she is intersex & a trans woman, having been raised as a son before puberty)
According to sources from the time and afterwards, her leadership along with Amakilki Makia of Zain-Ñoskaldë in Tinños-Chauo, led to the gold era/second age and a flourish of culture.
