We love our yearly project of love, but as you all know, life takes over. If there is enough interest, both in potential writers/artists, and readers, we will happily run the challenge again this year. Please respond to our poll and we'll gage the interest. Thank you all so much!
IF there is a 2024 Klaine Valentine's Challenge...

Hey guys,
So when KVD Beauty rebranded and a certain woman was no longer involved or associated with the brand I tried out the Portrait Foundation which launched at the time and people really liked that blogpost. I kept it in mind that it was a brand more people wanted to hear about so while I was browsing Boots (honestly they’re turned into the British Sephora with their range of makeup brands) I found a gift set of some old favourites I hadn’t used in literally years!!
Whether it was the original collection or through the rebranding everyone has heard of the Tattoo Liners from KVD Beauty which ironically was the first product I ever tried from the range. On their website I found the KVD Beauty Tattoo Liner Duo Gift Set, 26.00. This set comes with 2 full size liners in Trooper Black which is the iconic black shade and Mad Max Brown which is the newer brown shade. Individually these liners would be £18.00 each so to get both for £26.00 was a total bargain especially since they’re full size products.
When it comes to doing the perfect cat eye these liners made it 100% easier to do and I basically learnt how to do eyeliner using these back in the day. It’s such a easy formula to work with because it has a high pigment, it’s smudge resistant and lasts all day. The ultra-precise brush tip makes doing a cat eye so quick and easy and it’s the perfect style of liner for beginners. While I think both liners are great I would say personally I prefer Trooper more because it’s a real intense pigment where as the Mad Max brown can be a little patchy when you go over the liner but it’s easy to work around.
After using these a few times I honestly realised how much I loved the formula and felt stupid I didn’t buy them sooner!!! It’s the perfect gift set if you’re a fan of liquid liner or you want something to start your collection that’s easy to use. Obviously getting the perfect cat eye takes practise but out of the luxury brand liners I have tried before this brush tip is probably the easiest to work with. So check out Boots.com for the gift set or to purchase individually.
Lots of love
