Dark Beginnings || Kakeru & Milly
“Palmon, I think we’re lost,” Milly announced as she crossed her arms. She had wandered off again and ended up in a middle of an open forest. All she wanted was to go see the mountain that Jungkook had mentioned to her. Even though he had said he had a bad feeling about it, it seemed too beautiful for that to be true. She had to see it for herself. She had wandered off without even realizing it and Palmon had followed her. She thought it would be easy to get there considering its height but this forest was making it difficult to get there.
Palmon looked up at the sky, “It’s going to get dark soon too Milly. We should probably find a safe place to camp the night,” she commented then scanned the area to try and find a place they could possibly sleep in.
Milly nodded in agreement and slung her backpack on one shoulder so she could dig into it and grab some of the fruit they found during their stroll. “Here Palmon,” she handed her partner an apple and grabbed one for herself. “Maybe it was a bad idea to wander off,” she mumbled as she took a chunk out of her own apple. “But! At least we have each other and we have food to last us for the night.”
“Hey, Milly, there’s something laying over there,” Palmon tugged on Milly’s shirt and pointed to a tree where there was a guy who was sleeping at the stump of the tree. “Do you think we should go over there and see what it is?” She asked curiously.
“That’s a human silly,” Milly grinned, partly because of how naïve Palmon was when it came to humans but also because there was another human. Maybe he knew the area around here and knew a good place to sleep for the night. Although, he was kind of already sleeping out in the open like this. Was it because it was a safe place to sleep? She highly doubted that. Maybe he was new around here too and didn’t encounter any of the dangerous Digimon out here. Maybe they should warn him.
“Excuse me,” she whispered softly as she kneeled in front of him, attempting to wake him up. Nothing. “Hm,” she tapped on his shoulder gently. “Excuse me,” she tried again, raising her voice a bit. He must’ve been tired to be able to sleep so peacefully here.
