blood on their hands for Kwangsun
Kwangsun had been called away again, another emergency that pulled him back. This time, he managed to remember to let Kibum know that he was leaving and would be back soon. It'd be longer this time, but he promised to call him every night.
For the past three nights, he had done just that. Even calling him more than once a day if he could, and sent him the occasional selfie to show that he was fine. His most recent even included the day's newspaper, just for a bit of cheekiness. Clearly, it had been taken by someone else, as it looked more like a mugshot, with an irritated scowl on his face and eyes full of attitude. It was a fun photo...But that was two days ago.
Two days, he had only managed a single text to his boyfriend. 'I'm fine.'
Then another day passed without a word, and another. Not even a confirmation of text messages being read, just left on 'sent'.
The last thing Kwangsun ever expected was for Kibum to find him, but it was bound to happen. They hadn't quite managed to run away yet, and as long as he kept getting dragged back, then it was just a matter of time. It also didn't help that he had left an emergency number with Kibum. It was a text only number, and had been sealed with a fancy wax seal with instructions to be opened after 72 hours of no contact. It was the biggest risk Kwangsun had ever taken, but just more proof that his mind was eager to focus on his life with Kibum than his old life.
Kwangsun lifted his head as he heard the door to the room open, expecting one of the others to walk in. His eyes went wide as soon as he saw Kibum walk in instead. The room was nothing short of a nightmare, with plastic and blood everywhere. Various weapons and tools with what could vaguely be called a human body tied to a chair in the center. Also spread out on the ground were blood soaked photos, though not of the night's events. They were of something much darker, that made his stomach churn when he looked at them.
"...What are you doing here?!" His voice was almost harsh, almost yelling as he began making his way towards the other, trying to block him from stepping any further into the room.
