19: Give us a headcanon about your muse that you never shared to anyone else or wanting to explore deeper.

i wheezed irl like... wtf... do i have any meaningful din djarin headcanons, i might not actually have any... all my headcanons are like... tiny, inconsequential things...

it’s not anything that requires deeper exploration, but i do headcanon that din has a really good singing voice. his mum used to sing to him-- it’s one of the few memories he has left of his parents-- and when he was taken in by the mandalorians, song was often used with the children to help memory retention in their studies. he has a nice, personal relationship with music; i’m debating whether he knows any instruments or not or if he just sings, but he’s the type of person who can just improvise lyrics and tunes out of nowhere, you know?

he definitely sings to yodito when he gets nightscares and it’s just the two of them in the razor crest, walking back and forth in the hull of the ship.

20: Is there someone you admire on here?

as a writer, there’re some people, but primarily what i find fascinating about tumblr rp is the weird (no offence) fascination with graphics and aesthetics. i view rp as a writing hobby with imagery as supplement, so it’s kind of wild seeing like... the way that people latch onto this aesthetic and then make their whole blog fit it?

i have a very distant admiration for rpers like that-- i could never BE like them, and this is still very much more a text-based writing hobby for me than making sure i have a distinct look that sets my account apart from everyone else, but it’s still like. holy shit, man. the hours people must spend on these graphics, or the money they must spend for commissions. tumblrrrrrrrrrr. it’s a real testament to people’s creativity and how they view their characters, seeing the motifs in the colours and styles they choose.

27: What songs do you listen to when wanting to get into the mood of roleplaying?

for a musical appetiser to get din’s voice in my head, it’s more about style than substance. so i listen to stuff like feel good inc., battlecry, salt, do better, the less i know the better.

but for the more feelsy, deeper “exploration of psyche” stuff, i guess some jams i listen to for din would be shit like

wrecking ball (i made a wreck out of my hand / i put it through the wall / i made a fist and not a plan / call me a reckless wrecking ball)

this year (i am going to make it through this year / if it kills me)

human (some people got the real problems / some people out of luck / some people think i can solve them / lord heavens above / i'm only human after all)

wonderful life (no need to run and hide / it's a wonderful, wonderful life / no need to laugh and cry / it's a wonderful, wonderful life)

will the circle be unbroken (one by one their seats were emptied / one by one they went away / now the family is parted / will it be complete one day?)

but also idk, i’ve written a lot of din tags to ariana grande, so maybe i’m just full of shit :^)

Turning from the endless expanse of stars before him, Din looks where Lorelai’s just woken from her sleep in the seat. The Frog Lady continues to sleep, her eggs held close to her, and the Child does the same, snoring gently from his place in Din’s arm and drooling the slightest bit.

He trusts her, of course. And he’s glad that she’s around to help him with the Child. But after what they’d just gone through, and knowing that the New Republic is aware of them now, he feels too wired, too paranoid, to even think about resting.

Din realises too late that he’s been staring wordlessly at her for too long.

So he tries at a reply. “...and let you drive?”

Lorelai seems to collide against his beskar, and Din stiffens on instinct. He remembers, though, that this is Lorelai, and all at once it seems like the tension in his body is released in one quiet exhale.

He understands, though. After the Armourer had managed to move both Lorelai and the Child through a separate passage through the tunnels, leaving Din and the two adults to escape through the lava river, their survival hadn’t been ensured. All he’d told Lorelai was to make sure she made it back to Neves safely, because Neves could keep them both safe on Tatooine, and then he’d gone off to face the last of the Imps out to get them.

And, sure-- he’d nearly died facing the Moff. He’d nearly died with the Stormtroopers, if not for the surprising bravery of a droid he’d ended up weeping the slightest bit for.

But somehow the gravity of it didn’t hit him until he landed in front of the Razor Crest. Until he saw Kuiil’s dead body. Until he saw Lorelai holding the Child to her, the both of them worried to death, and she ended up crying as she ran into him and wrapped her free arm around him.

Between them, the Child seems to do much the same. He whimpers, worry clear in his voice, and in his eyes, and in the droop of his ears, and Din knows he isn’t at fault, but...

“Sorry I left you alone so long,” he says. He’s trying to sound calm, but the realisation of what he’s just survived hits him like a direct blow to the belly. There was a very real chance he wouldn’t have made it back. There was a very real chance that Lorelai and the Child would have gone back to Tatooine on their own without him.

When Din’s arms wrap around both the young woman and the baby that she’s holding, his fingers grip lightly into the fabric of her shirt. His other hand caresses the back of the Child’s head.

“But the Imps are gone. And I’m here. And we can go back to Mos Eisley together.”

What is he supposed to do with all this bread in his hands.

Of course, logically, he knows what he’s supposed to do-- Lorelai had stated very clearly that it was for the both of them ‘to share’-- but 1) Din can’t possibly eat in front of someone else; and 2) he’s certain Kaileo doesn’t like him enough to actually sit with him for more than absolutely necessary.

It’s not a problem, really, that Kaileo’s mistrust for him is at an all-time high. Din doesn’t trust him either, and if he had his way he’d spend as little time around him as possible.

He knows it means a lot to Lorelai that they get along, though. And it’s only for Lorelai-- Lorelai who’s probably playing with the Child right now in ways that would only make Din’s old joints creak if he played for as long as the Child tended to want to play-- that he breaks the roll in half and offers the piece Kaileo’s way.

He doesn’t say anything, though. Din wants to inspire as little conflict as possible.

may old radio naman w that player kaso di na kasya lahat ng trippings ko sa kwarto hahaha

kaya request ko talaga kay mama is to have an art/hobbies room once may house na kami sa province, dun ko lagay lahat ng books, instruments, paintings, hiking gears koo and yang mga music related stuff. Alsoo if may enough money baka w cameras din and mga vinyl.

ano ba i2 ka expensive ayaw ko naman mag give in sa impulsive buying HAHAH gift nga to ni mama bc I specifically said wired earphones pls, I almost said mama pwede camera…. but mahal hiya me mag request next time nalang if I save enough :p

19:27 — i slept the whole day! what just happened? huhu. i told myself last night that i'd continue working with my pins but the moment my exhausted body hit my bed i immediately fell asleep and when i woke up it's midday. i remember i was watching the last episode of lotr: the rings of power then the rest, a blur. but nonetheless, i think i deserve this rest. hey, it's the weekend after all. hehe. now, i'm in my bed again, done with my skin-care and will just play for an hour, and sleep. sleep. that's good. even for a moment.
