Antiques. Dusts. and a broken glass ll Harley & Sulli
"Ding" the bell chimed softly as Sulli entered the doors of Le Solei only to be greeted by a cloud of dust rather than a enthusiastic store clerk. Recently, she'd been visiting many antique shops in hopes to find some sort of connection to her parents. From her childhood memories in seoul, she remembered often going into antique shops with her parents, which Sulli found quite odd. Nevertheless, it was somewhere to start, and something was better than nothing.
Le Solei was one of the few old antique shops that her parents had frequented, often sparking up a conversation on the latest collectible or rare item they'd come across Sulli was at a lost at how clearly she remembered these things, memories childhood had always been vividly clear. If she thought about it, most of her memories were just as vivid, though that didn't mean her memory was great, in fact, she often found herself forgetting and losing items. But if she concentrated enough, she could conjure the images in her mind. If she chose to, she could conjure the image up upon her own free will, remembering even the smells and tastes. It was like the image from an old video-tape, slightly blurred around the edges, but so clear you noticed the misplaced pencils lying on the table. She'd always found it odd, and so she simply kept it a secret from those around her. It hardly was something she felt she needed to share, it'd only bring on unwanted questions that she held no answers to.
The antique shop had changed greatly from that in her memory. The wallpaper seemed to have gone old with age, and the merchandise was strewn in every corner rather than clean and organized like she'd remembered. "Hello?" she called out, wondering where the owner was, unable to past the piles of antiquities that almost blocked the doorway. "In the back!" yelled a shrill voice. Taking hesitant steps forward as to not break anything, Sulli made her way around the large piles of books that had blocked her view of the back. As she reached a corner, what she saw surprised her. Everything seemed to be organized, rarities placed in glass cabinets or tables with the prices printed neatly underneath. w--what? she thought to herself, confused at the sudden change.
The shop clerk let out a chuckle, "come on in dear, most people seem to get thrown off by the layout, but it's quite useful when those pesky robbers storm in. When they see the mess, they usually don't bother to come in." Sulli turned her attention to the speaker, spotting a surprisingly beautiful gray haired women sitting behind the counter. Though her skin was wrinkled with age, she seemed to ooze a certain beauty and energy. "Ah yes, I was wondering why it was so disorganized at first," she said with a chuckle. "I'll just look around for a bit," she said as she bowed respectfully to the elder, before making her way deeper into the store.
Again i apologise about not working on the paras, I'll get to them on wednesday, i promise! I'll do my best to finish them all by then
Red Hands [ Jongin & Harley ]
The first few steps were always shaky, as if a great length of time had passed since he last walked, but he ignored it and trudged on. With every step, he regained his balance, the muscles becoming better equipped to carry his weight, and soon he found that it wasn't as difficult anymore. He rolled back his shoulders, feeling accomplished, and finally glanced up to scope out his surroundings with a critical eye.
There was a long stretch of road in front of him, a soccer field taking up most of the space on the other side. It was dark, so it was hard for him to make out anything concrete apart from the goalie posts, white peeling off due to rust. The grass looked freshly cut and dewy, as if it had rained soon, and the pavement below him had small puddles here and there. Jongin inhaled and could smell the wet, earthy smell of rain, scrunching his nose up--the smell always made him think of wriggling worms, for reasons unknown.
However, despite the smell and the weather conditions, the traveller quite liked where he had landed. It was deserted, completely devoid of human activity, and this was something a person like him appreciated. There were a few times when Jongin found himself accidentally appearing in front of people, whether it be on a crowded street or, believe it or not, on the stage of a magic show. Let's just say that even the magician was curious as to how he had done it, not to mention angered that he had stolen the 'spotlight'.
He pivoted on his heel to look behind him, see what else the scenery had to offer, and noticed three apartment complexes standing side-by-side; there were only a handful apartments with lights emanating from their balconies, and thankfully no one was standing outside, grasping the balcony railing tightly and staring right at him, open-mouthed.
It was, then, however, that he noticed a dark figure jumping down from balcony to balcony, descending down with what seemed to be a...bag of some sorts? Jongin squinted to see better, but the darkness made this next to impossible. All he knew was the figure was lithe and athletic, making the leaps with ease, as if it did such things often. He stared with his hands in his pockets, unwilling to approach, though wondered if the figure would ever notice his presence.
Jongin didn't have to wait long. Once the figure touched grass, it glanced around and paused when it seemed to notice him standing there, staring right at them. There was completely silence apart from the chirping of crickets, something the traveller had always found extremely annoying.
Sighing, he decided to make the first move. Taking out a hand from his pocket, he waved lazily. "Hey," he said. "Are we going to have a friendly chat now or are you going to make a run for it?"
« midnight circuit ✯ ren ᵕ harley
Happening upon the midnight circus was only by chance. If the Fates allowed it, if you happened to find yourself in the midst of carnival music and neon that bombarded your senses and the unique aroma of felicitous screams, joyous laughter, and kettle corn, well, you were considered lucky.
Being a boy of fortunate circumstances, then, it was only fair that the flaxen haired youth was in attendance, the stimulus of lights too bright and sounds too loud screaming into his nerve endings and lighting his vision ablaze in versicolored inferno. He was positively delighted. Eyes lighting vermillion, he phased in and out of visibility, pilfering himself a bag of kettle corn and idly tripping up mortals and doing some petty pickpocketing as he wandered the fairgrounds. It wasn't as if he needed the money, he was only curious as to the contents of the pockets of persons walking past. But this was all child's play, really. Where to begin?
A smile of mischief curling at his lips when crimson eyes lit upon the ferris wheel, head tilting back, sight setting upon the very top of the metal contraption, he vanished, only to appear atop the apex. Folding himself neatly so that he could sit, hands coming to grip rusty beams, painted over with haste, sending vines along the scaffolding, overgrowing the structure with veined blossoms in a matter of seconds, rendering the attraction immobile.
kwinzel started following you
Jinseok looked up and bowed his head to the woman, lips curled into a smirk. "Well, hello lovely lady. What can I do for you, hm?"
Helping Out | Harley & Hayi
Hayi had been watching the unfamiliar vampire for days, subtly following him around to see how much damage he would cause. She could see that this vampire was new to this life, much like herself, but this vampire was even younger. Considering his behaviour, he could only have been a vampire for a week. Maybe two?
