One thing Gemma wasn’t used to was people sticking up for her. With as outspoken as Gemma is, it was usually her defending others. Rude comments was something she was something she dealt with on a weekly basis, but most of the times they were easily ignored or rebutted with her own comments, but today was different. Today she was tired, and with her tiredness came relatively “weaker skin”. On a regular day and this man whom had just shouted at her the way he just did, he probably would have been on the way to the hospital. But this time she couldn’t say anything. There was no shouting and no clever comebacks from the woman, only a hurt expression on her face. She just wanted to go, and as she pulled the male accompanying her back towards the back entrance of their company building, he resisted. Rather than standing down with her, he stood up for her in the sweetest way imaginable. It truly caught her by surprise, and if she hadn’t yanked him once more, he probably would have just kept going. He was still heated as she pulled him back towards the building, and the whole time she couldn’t help but smile internally (though her face probably told a different tale due to her exhaustion). Once the two of them stepped inside, she tried to interject his angered mumbling. Of course, with her initial reaction, he took it as her wanting him to apologize for it, but really she wanted anything but. Gemma stared at the younger boy for a second before she simply wrapped her arms around him in an appreciative embrace, resting her head on his shoulder. She stared there for a moment, before picking her head back up and staring at him. “When did you start liking me enough to do that, huh?” She asked with a sarcastic, but playful tone, flashing as big as a smile as she could through her tiredness. The older woman rested her head back on his shoulder with a small sigh. “You’re too sweet to be seen hanging with me, yanno? People are gonna say you got a new attitude from me,” she chuckled.
